Hello Stampers,

I was playing around making some faux wood panels today and teamed them up with the cute sandpipers stamp from the Seaside Bay stamp set from Stampin’ Up!  I added Bermuda Bay ink to one side of my faux wood panel to give it that weathered beachy appearance.  

This card is a good one to stash away to use for quite a few different occasions.  🙂

Wildlife Wonder Bear Card Video Tutorial

Hello Stampers,

It’s funny how certain images take me right back to a fond memory.  This bear from the Wildlife Wonder stamp set from Stampin’ Up! made me recall hiking with my Sister when I went to visit her in Colorado.  It freaked me out when she said she had a big can of bear spray with us and the walking sticks we were using were to knock the snakes off of the trail.  This girl almost headed to the car, lol.  The mountain views were worth the fear though so I risked it and I’m no worse for wear.

  Screenshot 2023-01-27 at 6.25.26 PM  On that same trip we listened to a ranger speak on how to squat down when there is lightening in the area, what to do if you run into a black bear and what to do when you run into a brown bear.  The most funniest thing he told us was the most likely person to get bitten by a rattlesnake is a 22 year old drunk male.  Apparently they like to mess with snakes, lol.  I was just glad to hear it wasn’t two goofy middle aged women that the snakes would like to bite.

Well that brings me back to today’s card.  I added the mountains in with this brown bear. Glad I didn’t meet up with him in the mountains either.  :). This card would be perfect for any man on your card list, right.

On the Farm Card Video Tutorial

Hello Stampers,

I live in a rural community in Ohio and this is a very familiar scene for me.   In fact, my craft room window looks straight out onto a neighboring farm.   I find myself just staring at the view a lot.   Farmland has always soothed my soul.  There is just something about it.  Some people love the mountains, some the ocean, for me it’s farmland.  How about you, what’s your favorite view?

Beautiful Thistle Card Video Tutorial

Hello Stampers,

I’ve really been enjoying the new Lighting the Way stamp set and today I teamed it up with another brand new stamp set, Beautiful Thistle.  I also decided to really bring the color for the background of this card and created a bright sunny day.  I think it makes it look so happy.  There are a few different sentiments in these stamp sets which would be appropriate for this project.  I love when I have a choice, that way I can make a few of the same card and just add different sentiments for each one.  Anyone else do that?

Lighting the Way Card

Hello Stampers,

I’m playing with a brand new Stampin’ Up! Bundle, Lighting the Way Stamp Set and Lighting the Way Die Set.   This bundle has fantastic stamp images and coordinating dies that are perfect for scene stamping, MY FAVORITE!   Don’t you just love watching Lightning bugs light up a warm night.

Here is a fact I found out today: Lightning bugs and fireflies are the exact same insect. The terms are the result of distinct regional dialects. To put it in analogy form: lightning bug is to firefly as say, soda is to pop.  Which camp are you in?

I’m so ready for Spring to get here and the lightning bugs to appear again.  Well, at least we can stamp them out, right?

Ballet Beauty Card

Hello Stampers,

How about a completely feminine card today.  I think you could give this card to any girl or women for that matter.  I created a nice bright and colorful background for this ballerina.  I think it shows here off nicely.  The Ballerina image comes out of a brand new stamp set from Stampin’ Up!, Ballet Beauty.  This is a stunning stamp set.  I love how you get all the shadows just by stamping the images in this set.  Makes coloring so easy!  Also, check out the encouraging sentiments in this set.  I just love it!

Greatest Journey (bike in motion) Card Video Tutorial

Hello Stampers,

I feel like the new Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalog was put together just for me, it was wasn’t it? There are so many stamp images that are right up my alley, yay! Stampin’ Up! Today I’m using a brand new bundle, Greatest Journey Stamp Set and Greatest Journey Dies.

I especially love the stand alone dies in this bundle, sure I love the dies that cut the stamped images out that are in this set but look at the added benefit of all those stand alone dies!   What an awesome bundle to build card scenes for those active people on your card list.

I’m using the bike die cut as my main image on this card and I added some images to make the biker appear to be in motion.
