I have to say, I squealed with delight when I first seen the Stampin’ Up! Field Journal stamp set.  I’m such a nature freak and love being outside.  It’s just good for my soul, know what I mean?

When I am outside I generally have a sketch pad in hand or my watercolors with me.  This stamp set gives you that sketched look without even using a pencil, perfect!

I am hold up in my craft room this morning enjoying some quiet time after all of the festivities of the Christmas holiday.  It’s a good time to create my New Year’s cards and thank you cards for gifts received etc.

Parfum Vase – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello Stampers,

Today I got out the very girlie Stampin’ Up! stamp set, Dressed to Impress.  I used the perfume bottle to create a vase by omitting the bottle top and then was able to utilize the flowers in the set to make this lovely card.  It’s so fun to use stamps in an unexpected way.

For todays project I used shades of gray and black and then added a pop of color for the sunshine.  This technique reminds me of an old photograph and can be used for so many of the scenes you create.  🙂
