Love of Leaves – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello Stampers,

I seen a tree yesterday that has almost completely changed its colors from green to orange and red.  I found myself saying out loud in the car to no one, since I was alone, I’m not ready for this!  I love Autumn and want the season to take its time in its color progression, drag it out for a change.  I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

Anyway, I created this Autumn card using a fun new and simple technique for my background panel using ink and Stampin’ Mist Stamp Cleaner.  I’ve seen all kinds of beautiful designer paper which look similar, so I wanted to make my own with this easy technique and it worked so well.  It’s all in my tutorial.

I snagged a great color combo off of Pinterest.  Just do a search for Color Palette Autumn and you will see some super combos to use.  Pull out your ink colors which are closest to a match to your sample palette and you have a great start to a wonderful card.

The Good Witch – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello Stampers,

I named this card project “the good witch” because this witch’s face is too sweet to be evil.  Although, I think she may have taken Ron Weasley’s Rat, Scabbers.  If you don’t get that reference than I know a bunch of books and movies you should watch.  🙂

Magnolias and Pumpkin – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello Stampers,

Autumn cards don’t always have to be the strong colors you associate with Autumn.  Today, I decided to create an Autumn card with a feminine flair and color scheme using the very popular Good Morning Magnolia stamp set.  I love these flowers!  I made my card a thank you card but, it would be great also using the other sentiments in the set for a birthday or thinking of you card.

Autumn Branch Reflection – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello Stampers,

It’s getting pretty chilly at night around here in Ohio and the trees are starting to change colors a bit and even loose a few leaves, sigh.  Colder weather is certainly on the way.  Don’t get me wrong, I love the change of seasons and my favorite season is Autumn with all it’s wonderful colors and I get to start wearing cozy sweaters again.  So today’s card is a tribute to Autumn.

I used the Stampin’ Up! Life is Beautiful stamp set.  The large tree in the set makes for a lovely branch too!

Life is Beautiful, 154871

This card is begging for a sentiment.  I left it blank until I know just what the occasion is I’m sending it for.

Three Poppies – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello Stampers,

I just woke up in the mood to see some flowers and mine are fading fast out in the pots and garden outside.  Fading due to neglect, maybe.  It’s this time of year that I am pretty much done with gardening.  But, I can still get my happy flower fix by stamping a card such as today’s project.
