Hello there,

I’m in heaven, I get to use the new Stampin’ Up! Waterfront stamp set now that the new Occasions catalog has been released.  Well I could have used it prior to that but you wouldn’t have been able to order it and I just don’t have the heart to tease you like that.

This versatile stamp set has tons of great elements for those scenery cards I love to make so I will be getting lots of milage out of this set.  You can go from the mountains to the desert and on to the beach with these images. 🙂

Today I created a little mountain scene and it came together so effortlessly using these stamps, love it!  This card leans towards the masculine side so I considered not putting a ribbon on it.  Glad I reached for the Night of Navy Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon after all.  That ribbon pulled the card together and it ties like a dream!

Remarkable You Pond – Stampin’ Up! Card

Remarkable You Pond

What!  This is my last post and project of 2017.  That makes me a bit sad, yet excited at the same time about all of the projects I have swirling around in my head for 2018.

I’ve decided to make 2018 the year of simplifying my life.  Getting rid of things in the house that I’ve not used for years.  Which includes crafting supplies, ugh, shoot me now, lol.  I find I’m not as stressed when I focus on what is really important and my mind doesn’t work well in my craft space when things are not in order.  So purging unneeded items is what 2018 is all about for me.  What resolutions have you decided to make for the new year?

About today’s project. . . . .

I decided to end 2017 with a reflection card, which is really one of my favorite scenes to make.  There is this perfect flower in the Remarkable You stamp set that makes a great lotus flower and focal image in my scene today.  Add the lovely  color combo of Tempting Turquoise and Cajun Craze along with a piece of my all time favorite Designers series paper of 2017, Foil Frenzy and poof a beautiful card to send to a loved one.

Serene Swan – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello there,

Swans must be one of the most beautiful birds ever.  If we had the room on our property for a large pond I would certainly get a swan or two or three or four.

The Swan Lake stamp set that I used today has some really beautiful images in it, that’s have the battle in the process of making a wonderful card.    I decided to shake my color combo up for this card and use pinks and greens and even added a bit of pink to my swan as if the water was reflecting off of it’s white feathers.
