Hello There,

Whew!  I didn’t think I would get a post done for today.  I swear the days are only a few hours long. . . . time has just been getting away from me for sure.  Must be the added holiday projects.  Like this weekend I’ve been baking Christmas cookies, cookies and more cookies.

It was nice to sit down this afternoon and stamp a bit.  That always brings my anxiety level down a few notches.

Today’s project features the emboss resist technique in order to get this light flower in front of a dark background.  What better flower to use than one in the Stampin’ Up! set Fabulous Florets.  Beautiful flower that is fun to color.

Hello there and happy Friday!
I know it’s bad to live for the weekends, but some how I just cannot help it and I even work from home.  Maybe it’s because work is lighter and generally there are friends and family around to share the weekend with.
I’m excited about tonight because once a month the Zindorf Sister-in-laws get together for dinner, there are six of us and it is so much fun.   It all started some time ago when Russ and his five brothers started getting together once a month for boy’s night out.  Well the Sister-in-laws soon followed suite and we started having our girl’s night out on the same night the guys go out.  I think we probably have more fun then the guys.  🙂 We won’t be telling them though, they will want to start hanging out with us!
Now about my card today.  I figure some of you over acheivers have your Christmas cards all mailed out and you now need something to stamp.  So today’s project is a thank you card.  Your going to need some to thank all those peeps who showered you with Christmas gifts or had you over for holiday dinner etc.
Since I had the Bird Builder punch still out on my desk from my last project I decided to pick it up and use it again.  I’m conserving energy by not putting my supplies away, lol.  I think this bird looks totally happy flying around in this scene.

It snowed again here last night and it’s quite the Winter wonderland out there.   It’s way to cold for me to play in the snow so I’ll do it here in my warm stamp room and create my snowman on paper.  This way I can share it with someone.  The snowman is from the adorable Stampin’ Up! set, Snow Day.  I think this snowman is so much fun to put in front of a dark background and grunge up a bit.

On another note. . . .
I’m  feeling a bit sad today.  My little Hope (shown on left) lost her battle last night. I have mixed feelings about her passing, glad she is not suffering, but sad none the least. Hope, if you recall is our chick that had a muscular deformity in her crop so she could not process food like the other chicks.  At the end she was only about a quarter the size of what she should have been.  We let her live her life out and I’m so glad she went in her sleep. The Vet told me she would only live a few weeks, but little Hope lived 15 weeks, such a fighter!
She will be missed, such a sweet little chick.

Hello There,

So, has everyone recovered from the holiday weekend, eaten all the left over turkey, fixing and pie?  I ended up putting all of our left over turkey into pot pies and stored them away in the freezer for another day.  🙂  I love freezer meals, they have gotten me through some rough days.

Anyhow, check out today’s card.  I love the flash of red from the little bird in this scene.  It just draws you in.  The bird is from the Stampin’ Up! set Everything Eleanor (124164).  This set must be in my top five for use.  I have used it, used it and used it some more.
