Hello Stampers,

I cannot get enough of these slimline cards which are 3.5″ x 8.5″ and fit perfectly in the slimline envelopes from Stampin’ Up!  You have so much room to add embellishments and your scenes on these cards.  Today I used the Dragonfly Garden stamp set from Stampin’ Up! and gave each dragonfly it’s own personality by coloring each one a bit different.  Although they are colored differently I used the same colors in the dragonflies in order to keep the card from getting too busy.

I fussy cut my dragonflies out but you can surely use the coordinating dragonfly punch to quickly punch them out for this project, item #154240.

Hello Stampers,

I decided to make a nice peaceful scene for my card today.  The Stampin’ Up! In the Moment stamp set has wonderful relaxing images in it.  I picked the lady in the window image for my project today and omitted the window.  When you omit the window in this image then you can place this lady in so many scenes.  Using just part of a stamped image is a great way to get more value from your stamps.  So give your stamps a good look and see what you can omit to make the image a bit different.  🙂

Hello Stampers,

I was looking through my stamps today and came across these rascals.   These squirrels are from the Nuts About Squirrels stamp set from Stampin’ UP!

This stamp set is super easy to use since it is a two step stamp process.   You stamp the outline first and then the solid image over the outline and wahla, you have a colored squirrel.  Just look at those cute faces.  These guys are up to something!

This is a long card which measures 3.5″ x 8.5″ and it fits perfectly into one of the long Stampin’ Up! Slimline Envelopes.  I love having the longer area to create my scene on.  🙂

Hello Stampers,

I’m breaking out the Spring stamp set, Flowering Rain Boots by Stampin’ Up!, but I wanted to do something a bit different with the tulips so, I gave them some long stems and an abstract background.  I love taking images and making unexpected scenes with them, such as this.  Bring on the tulips!  I’m ready for Spring flowers.

Hello Stampers,

Today’s card has  a quick background created using the direct to paper technique.  The sky for this project can be any colors you want to put together.  It’s always fun to experiment, just start with your lightest color and then add your medium colors and even some darker colors towards the top.  The combinations are, of course, endless!

There are two different kinds of trees in the Grassy Grove stamp set.  I decided to use both kinds in my little scene, putting the pines down in a bit of a valley and the other trees up on top of a nice big hill.

It’s hard not to get into a cheerful mood as you create a big sunflower card.  There definitely isn’t anything sad about sunflowers, if someone was to ask me what the most cheerful flower in the world is I would have to say sunflowers!  

For today’s card I created a kaleidoscope panel to back and really highlight this big sunflower image from the Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set.  It’s a fun and easy panel to make.  Did you have a colorful kaleidoscope when you were growing up?  My sister and I would gaze through one for hours, they were magical.
