Today I dressed up my Basic Black background panel with Basic Black dies cut from the Stampin’ Up! Flourish Thinlits Dies Set so, it is black on black.  This doesn’t translate well in pictures but it is gorgeous in person and a wonderful way to add interest to your card without taking the spot light off of your main image panel.

Thinking of You Kitty – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello Stamper,

Creating a scene today with a very limited palette of colors, Gray and White.  Add a punch of Merry Merlot and it really sings!  Merry Merlot is such a rich color, almost regal, I love it.

As for the kitty in the scene, this would be a rare moment since cats don’t like to get their bottoms wet or anything else for that matter.  🙂  I know my Sadie wouldn’t want to set her royal behind on anything cold.  She uses my Stamp and Scrub as a throne to sit on instead of my cold desk, silly girl or maybe I should say smart girl!

Sympathy Reflection – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello Stampers,

Today I am playing around with reflections for my moon and mountains.  Adds so much to a scene.

While I was making this card I wanted to use a piece of the Stampin’ Up! Natures Poem Designer Series paper, I love this pack, but the leaf paper I wanted to use from the pack seemed so bright for the card so I used the direct to paper technique and smeared some Balmy Blue ink on it, now it is perfect.  Good thing to remember when looking at your DSP, you can add color to it.  🙂

My project today reminds me of an outdoors black tie affair under the moon.  Black and blue can certainly be very dramatic together, I love it!

I’m having a bit of fun using the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack, item# 144177 to make my scene on today.  You end out with a weathered wood look.  A little tip, when picking your DSP for this project.  Pick one of the light colored papers with a bold wood grain image on it  🙂  This is a great pack of papers to choose from.
