Hi There,

I’m playing with the Wilderness Awaits stamp set.  I’ve made my main image a silhouette instead of coloring it.  I love how it stands out against the bright sky behind it.  I have also made the main image panel recess behind the background panel, classy look.

Aubree’s First Birthday

This is our beautiful, Grand Daughter Aubree and she turned ONE!  It’s amazing how time flies.  Check out the cute arrangement in this picture that Aubree’s Mom, Jamie put together, adorable right?   Jamie worked so hard on Aubree’s outfit  and the party decorations and it paid off because everything was perfect.

I made 64 cupcakes for the party.  A few of them did not make it to the party.  They had to be taste tested by Russ and I, mmmm.

I made Aubree’s gift extra special by surrounding a white ribbon bow with flowers created with the Spiral Flower die, item number 129379 and the Big Shot Machine.   Super simple but packs a big WOW.

My Grand Daughter, Hailie Jade is here with me today and we are going to see Jurassic World in 3D this afternoon.  So, it is only fitting that I create a Dinosaur card because that is where my mind is.

I created today’s card for a very special pre-teen.  Her favorite thing to do is shop.  I have noticed that she doesn’t like spending her own money, but she does like spending mine.  I think she needs to study to have a really good job that pays  oodles and oodles of money so she can continue doing what she loves, shop!

Chicks! – Chicken Update

Yesterday was so egg-citing, Goldie’s chicks started to hatch.  She has 3 little ones peeping under her.

It’s extremely hard to get photos of the chicks without disturbing the nest.  I was excited when this little one came out from under her momma for a quick photo or two.

It wasn’t long before Goldie went to protect her precious chick by covering her up with her neck.

I was able to spy 2 little yellow chicks and one black one.  There are two eggs left as of this morning.  I’m hoping they hatch for her today.

Momma Goldie is doing a great job.  She taught the chicks to eat and drink already.  I’m trying really hard not to bother them, so photos are rare.  In a few days I will have more opportunity to snap some shots.  🙂

Goldie’s New Pad- Chicken Update

I’m Goldie and that’s right, I’ve been moved to my very own crib.  Darn other girls kept climbing into the nesting box I was in with my special eggs and laying more eggs for me to sit on.  So, my chicken Mommy, because she loves me, moved me and my special eggs to my very own room where the other girls can’t get to me.

Check it out.   It’s a dog crate, but I have renamed it the “hatch pad.”  My babies should be safe in here with me for a while.  Monday is the big day and I’m hopeful at least 3 of my 6 eggs hatch. It would be super eggciting, cluck, cluck, if all of them hatched though.

I’ve  have been very diligent sitting on these special eggs.  I only get off the nest for a few moments a day to relieve myself and eat and drink.  I’ve pulled my chest feathers out so the eggs would be right up against my skin and have kept them all at the perfect temperature for 17 days  now.  Only 2, maybe 3 more days to go!
