In today’s card project I decided to use the smaller of the images in the Ballet Beauty stamp set as my main image and the larger images to create a dreamy/elegant background for it. I love this look of tone on tone with a pop of white for her dress. I kept the layout very simple for this card but, you could dress it up further with flowers etc. I just didn’t want to distract from the pretty simplicity of it.

I was in the mood for some COLOR today and decided to create a mountain scene for this bird from the Stampin’ Up! Eclectic Garden stamp set to hang out in. I love this color combo of blue an orange and wanted the berries and leaves to be the star of the show so, I made the coloring of my bird very simple and colored it in black. Great way to simplify an image by the way.

This stamp set makes me miss beekeeping so much! Although, I don’t miss all of the work that is involved in it.
At one point I had 9 hives and my old back had a hard time lifting all those boxes (which weigh about 70-100 lbs when full of honey). Also, there is the fact that I’m allergic to bee stings lol, I know, I’m a bit crazy. So, if you want to know why honey prices are high. . . . . it’s work friends!
I think I’ll stick to buying local honey and stamping my bees out with ink and paper like I did today. I used the new Queen Bee Bundle from Stampin’ Up! to create this card. This queen bee image is so fun to color and I love the Queen Bee dies too.
