Hello Stampers,

I wanted to show how you can use Smoky Slate ink to create a great monotoned scene, like an old time photo and then add just a bit of color to get that old photo tinted look.  Today I used the Grassy Grove stamp set from Stampin’ Up! to create my scene.  This stamp set has fantastic scene images, especially great small trees for those scenes you want depth in.  

The sentiment comes from another wonderful stamp set, Go To Greetings.   This one is my top pick if you are looking for a sentiment set.   You can find the links to the products used below.

Golden Beauty of Friendship Card

Hello Stampers,

I’m once again using one of my all time favorite stamp sets, it’s the Beauty of Friendship set from Stampin’ Up!  If you love to have trees in your scenes for your cards then you will love this stamp set like I do.  The multi step stamping for the trees for this set gives you lots of depth in your tree images and also lots of texture if you are embossing the tree like I did today.

I also paired this scene up with the new Fern 3d embossing folder for the background panel. I gave mine a bit of a patina look and I LOVE IT!

Little Red House Warming Card

Hello Stampers,

Have you taken a look at all of the images in the new Ringed with Nature stamp set from Stampin’ UP!?

Flowers, foliage, mushrooms, acorns, tree rings and great sentiments.  But, today I’m using the house, which is awesome because you stamp it in two pieces so your house and roof can be two different colors with no coloring, Yay!  I used the flower and sentiment stamps also and came up with this quick house warming card.  Who doesn’t like a cute quick card now and again.

Also, I’m calling this a house warming card but, I think it would be a great card to give a neighbor as well for so many different occasions.

Autumn Pheasant Card

Hello Stampers,

Do you ever look at an animal or bird image and wonder how to color it?  An easy way to get your color ideas for those images is to do a quick google search for pictures.  Today I took my inspiration from a picture for this pheasant and I was so happy with the way it turned out.  

I just love this new Painted Pheasant stamp set from Stampin’ Up! and my Stampin’ Blends markers sure made the coloring of this pheasant a breeze too!

Fall into Autumn Card

Hello Stampers,

What is your favorite season to stamp out?  Mine is hands down Autumn!  I love the colors and the images.  I could stamp them all year long but, I’m just starting now to get ahead of the season and stock pile a bit.

Today I’m using the Beauty of Friendship Stamp set from the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog along with the emboss resist technique to get my bright tree to pop against the sky colors, so fun!
