I certainly hope you are having a terrific week and getting lots of your favorite stamping in.  My week has been going great, finally getting some where on my re-organization of all of my craft supplies.  Such a big job, but I have found stuff I  forgot I even had.  It’s like coming home with a big craft supply haul, SCORE!  I do have one question, where does all the dust come from?  My dust bunnies sure have been busy breeding of late, lol.

I’ve got a pretty Autumn tree reflection card for you today using the Life is Beautiful stamp set.  the tree in the set is a very nice size.  You will need to send someone a decent sized card to get this whole scene on it.  This card measures 4″ x 9″ and take a letter sized envelope #10.  The #10 envelopes can be picked up about any where.  When someone gets a card of this size they are sure to notice and will be grateful for happy mail.  🙂

I pulled out some Autumn colors today for this project and used the brand new stamp set, Life is Beautiful.  This stamp set will take us through every season so it’s a great investment, but look at it shine now for those upcoming Autumn cards.  They will be needed before we know it.

Tip:  I know it’s tempting to stamp trees straight up and down but, you can get a more interesting scene if you stamp your tree at a bit of an angle.  🙂

The changing of the seasons from Summer to Autumn is always special to me.  Especially in Ohio where I have lived my entire life.  We get to enjoy the whole landscape around us go from lush greens to a multi-colored feast of Autumn colors, crisp air and the crunching of leaves on the ground when you walk on them, it is magical.

Autumn Female Cardinal – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello Stampers,

I love giving the female cardinal her time in the spotlight during the Autumn Season.  Her colors certainly shine with Fall foliage and some sunlight shining down on her.  It’s also a nice change from always coloring our cardinals in the male colors.

I normally like to fussy cut my scenic images to get a bit of a closer cut but, when I use the coordinating dies (which is so much easier) I like to sponge my background color on the edges of the die cuts to give them a more natural look.  Try it, you’ll like it!

Pumpkin of Another Color – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello Stampers,

There will be a full moon tomorrow night, Friday the 13th, ohhh ha ha!  I bet things will be very interesting for those first responders on second and third shifts, because people get crazy on nights with a full moon and then add the Friday the 13th element, hmmmm.

Thinking of that full moon made me want to start my project with a great big harvest moon and then I thought I would shake things up and stamp a pumpkin that wasn’t orange, I know, where is the straight jacket, lock me up, crazy, lol.  Actually, I’ve always love the white pumpkins and blue green pumpkins you can get.  Although non-traditional, I think they are beautiful.  🙂

Autumn Drip Background – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello Stampers,

Yesterday I created a Winter card and felt I needed to give Autumn a fair shake by creating today’s card, which definitely screams Fall Y’all!  This card is 4″ x 9″ and fits in a regular old #10 size business envelope you can pick up just about any where.  This size card takes one stamp to mail, yet makes a big statement.  :). Gotta love it!

To me, the in focus foreground (bird, leaves and branches) on this card are totally brought to life by the out of focus hand made background.  You will be amazed at how easy and fun the background is to make by using, what I call, the my drip technique.
