Oh man. . . . .

It’s so easy to make a masculine card with the quick Camo background panel I made today to go with this deer scene.  The Camo background can be made with so many different colors, but I kept it traditional.  I can envision that panel even made with pinks and greens for a female flare, can’t you?

For the deer scene I teamed up the Carols of Christmas and Sheltering Tree Stamp Sets.  I think that little deer from the Carols of Christmas set is just the right size to go with the Sheltering Tree Trees.

Ever wonder how  black cats come to represent bad luck and spookiness in the United States? It all started with the Pilgrims in the Plymouth colony. The Puritan Pilgrims distrusted anything associated with witches and sorcery, including black cats.  After the anti-witch zeal had subsided in the colonies, black cats had been thoroughly cemented in popular legend right alongside witches. Decorators use them as a Halloween symbol,both alongside witches and independently, to add a frightful, unnerving ambience to their front steps, their green eyes spooking trick-or-treaters.

But if you’re really feeling the holiday spirit this Halloween, consider adopting a black cat from an animal shelter or rescue service. Due to latent superstition, studies have shown that black cats are much less likely to be adopted compared with other fur colors. By adopting a black cat, you may rescue an animal who may otherwise not have found a loving owner. However, some shelters will not adopt-out a black cat immediately before Halloween. Some owners have been known to use them as “living decorations” before abandoning them.  Do you believe that!

Know that many cultures, such as Japan, Egypt and the British Islands believe the opposite about Black Cats, they believe they are good luck and bring affluence to any house.  🙂  I’m with them.

The cat in my card, I believe, is thinking it would like to catch one of those bats, lol.  It certainly looks lovely in front of this super easy swirly sky.

There is so much to see!  Including the Painted Harvest stamp set I used for the flowers in this project.  It’s a three step stamping process to create the flowers so it’s super simple to create layers of color on them and the sky is the limit to the color combos you can use.  I teamed the new stamp set up with the Best Birds stamp set, how cute it this?
