A chocolate cupcake, what’s not to love!  Especially when it is created with a three step stamp set, Sweet Cupcake Item 141498 and makes this cupcake so easy to shade that gives this image such a realistic look.   Of course, you can make this cupcake any color (flavor) you want, yummy right?

Fairy Celebration – Stampin’ Up! Card

This magical fairy card made with the new stamp set Fairy Celebration, #141554 would be so perfect for a little girl.  I even went out of my comfort zone and added glimmer paper for that sparkle most girls like.  Glitter girl I am not, however!  When I touch glitter it ends up on me, the cat and my husband.  That stuff really travels!

I think the card was screaming for glitter so I added it.  🙂  It adds that magical touch.

Today I created two quick cards using the negative and the positive of one of the new Dies in the Flourish Thinlits Set, #141478.  This flourish die is really beautiful.

Artistically Asian – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello there,

I put the first bit of ink on my new stamp set, Artistically Asian today.  Another wonderful stamp set that has some very useful sentiments in it and nice calming images.

This stamp set’s images look very nice as silhouettes, which I love to use in scenes, so dramatic!  Also, so easy, since you don’t have to worry about coloring the images, rock!  That is just how I used one of the images today in my project.  I hope you like it and find yourself inspired to get inky today.

On another note. . . . . .

I recently had a jam session, lol.  Not musically, but by really making and canning jam.  I love to make jam this time of year when the cherries and berries are in abundance.  For one, it’s great to have your own jam to eat all year and plus, they make great gifts.

A little reminder, to label your jars easily, punch or die cut 2.5″ circles from card stock and put them under the top ring of your jar lid.  It will fit nicely, the ring holds it on and there will be no label to have to scrub off of your canning jar when you empty that yummy goodness.

I hand write on my circles, but you can surely use a word processing program and print it out on card stock and then die cut or punch the circles out.  Note, the 2.5″ circle fits perfect for the regular mouth jars, you will need larger circles for wide mouth jars.

Pears – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello there,

Let’s take a solid pear shaped stamp and make some realistic looking pears out of it.  I teamed up the Stampin’ Up! Apple of My Eye stamp set with the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set to create this effect with some layered color.

I created my pears with spots because I grow pears here and know they come with speckles all over them.  I hope this project inspires you to get inky today.

Today’s card makes me want to take a drive in the country.  🙂  The trees from the Stampin’ Up! In the Meadow stamp set made a lovely image in the foreground.  There is a mountain stamp in the stamp set but I wanted the trees to be the main  focal point in this particular scene so I created my own little hills in the background so the trees wouldn’t be overpowered.  This also created a lot of depth in the scene.

Bird Reflection – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello there,

This time of year and I am torn between my gardening and stamping.  But today, the weeds will have to wait,  I couldn’t wait to get in my craft room and make this reflection scene.  It’s how I am, I get a project in my mind and I cannot rest until it’s done.  Are you like that?

This bird from the Stampin’ Up! An Open Heart Stamp set is my favorite bird image.  So easy to color and it’s a good sized image.  It makes a great reflection too!

Hello there,

I love using stamps in a bit of an unexpected way, like today I used the flowering vine from the Thoughts & Prayers Stamp Set as flowering tree branches.  I used it over a dramatic late night sky and framed it with a window.  I love the brick embossed panel to ground the window.  🙂
