Sunshine and Flowers – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello There,

Ahh, I need some sunshine and flowers in my life today.  It was 1 degrees outside this morning here in Ohio with lots of snow on the ground.  Here in the country we have drifts of snow that are huge!  So big I’m afraid my 100 lb dog, Lucas might get lost in one.  I have the hens locked in their coop with heat lights going 24/7 trying to keep them warm.  They seem snug but going a little stir crazy from being cooped up.  Now I know where that term “cooped up” comes from.

With all that being said, I was certainly ready to do a scene today that was nice and bright.  I took the color combo of Crisp Cantaloupe, Pool Party and Summer Starfruit from the beautiful Sale-a-bration DSP, Sweet Sorbet.  What a great color combo!

I also used the new Sale-a-bration embossing folder, Decorative Dots.  How fun is that texture. . . . .

Teamed those items and colors up with some great flower images and you have a card that will warm anyone.

Money Jar – Stampin’ Up! Project

Hello There,

This morning I made this jar to save my egg money in.  “Egg Money” you say, “what the heck is that?”

Well, I have sold my first carton of fresh eggs.  The girls are really laying and laying beautiful eggs.

We have 9 hens, of all different varieties, so we get quite the wonderful color assortment.

All of the hens from the chicks I got last August are laying, whoohoo.  With it being just Russ and I here we have way more eggs than we could possibly eat.  So, I am selling some of the eggs and we are going to save the money and treat ourselves to a night out with it on down the road.  Of course, I had to have a cute little jar to save the egg money in, right?

But, as I was creating this project for me, I decided to share it here because this little jar could easily be made to say “Nest Egg” to save retirement money or even “Happy Easter” with candy inside, fun huh?

You can find the complete supply list below and also how to the get the tutorial for this project free or by purchase below.

Mountain View – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello There,

It is a Winter wonderland outside my stamp room window this morning.  It put me in the mood though to create a bit of a warmer scene with some flowers in the foreground and a mountain in the distance reflecting on calm waters.  It does warm a person up to think of a warmer place. For all you hen lovers out there, no worries, my girls are all tucked away in their nice warm, dry coop with smiles on their little chicken faces.

Now today’s peaceful card could be used for many, many different occasions.

The stamp set featured in today’s card is the beautiful Stampin’ Up! set Serene Silhouettes (132073).

You can find the complete supply list below and also how to the get the tutorial for this project free or by purchase below.

Husband & Wife – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello There,

Woohoo!  Today Stampin’ Up’s brand new Occasions Catalog is revealed.  Once again they have come out with some great up to date stamps and accessories.  I for one had to buy it all! Yikes, don’t tell Russ, lol.

Since I am a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, I get the perk of pre-ordering products before they are available to the public.  I could have been using them for about a month now, but I didn’t want to show you a bunch of stuff that you could not even order yet.  🙂  Teasing is not my thing.

But now, since you are able to order out of the new catalog I am breaking out one of the new stamp sets, Perfect Couple (3133197), love it, had to have it.  Isn’t that little couple cute and perfect for a wedding scene.  This is a great wedding, anniversary, engagement set.

You can find the complete supply list and how to the get the tutorial for this project free or by purchase below.

Goose Reflection – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello There,

Well the new year is a time for reflection, right?  LOL    I did my reflection on card stock instead.  This Goose from the Stampin’ Up! Wetlands set is a perfect image to create a reflection scene with.  It has nice bold outlines which make it a breeze to transfer the reflection portion of the scene.  This was one of my favorite sets to work with in 2013 and right into 2014.  I believe this is my 5th card that I posted using the Wetlands set. So I have been getting my money’s worth out of it for sure.

On another note:
I had a fabulous Christmas holiday with family and it was anything but peace on earth at my house, but it sure was fun.   You see, we had a nerf gun war after opening our gifts Christmas morning.
This is Jesse getting shot at.  He was the one that got everyone a nerf gun for Christmas, too fun.  I’m telling you my life was in danger taking the pictures.
This is Luke (right) and out Grand doggie Slug (left).  They look just a bit concerned at all the commotion, lol.  But it all settled down after about an hour.
Then things looked more like this. . . . . .
This is my son Mitch with his wife, Jamie and daughter, Hailie Jade.

I hope your Christmas Holiday was just as fun.

Until my next post. . . . . .
Huge Hugs!

Yesterday I was busy, busy making Banana bread for Russ’ co-workers.

I kid you not!  Lots of Banana Bread.  I have such a wonderful recipe that his co-workers start asking for the banana bread at the beginning of December when they know I make it much closer to Christmas.  It is moist and yummy!
Here is the recipe:

BANANA BREAD

2 Cup All Purpose Flour

1 tsp.Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
1/2 tsp. Salt
1 Cup Sugar
3/4 Cup Mashed Ripe Bananas (2)
1/2 Cup Milk
1 Egg
3/4 Cup Melted Margarine
In a bowl stir all the dry ingredients together.  In a separate bowl combine remaining ingredients.   Combine wet and dry ingredients until blended.  Pour batter into greased bread pan.  Bake at 350 for 1 hour 15 minutes
Makes (1) 5 x 9 inch loaf or (7) mini loafs.  Bake mini loafs 45 minutes.
May your day be filled with fun and laughter!

Until my next post. . . . . .
Huge Hugs!
