Wow!  Yet another month is coming to an end.  It’s amazing how fast the months fly by.  My card today is my last project of the month and this is the last day you can pick up my 12 tutorials for February free with your $50 qualifying order or you can pick up the tutorials for a discounted price today, see below for details.

Now about today’s beachy creation, when I think about the tropics I think about cool white linen for some reason.  Maybe I’m dreaming of Don Johnson back in the days of Miami Vice, hubba hubba, lol.

Anyhow, I love the new Subtle embossing folder which looks like a linen texture and I used it on my card base, and took this project even further by keeping my card front all white and embossed each panel with different embossing folders for great texture all over.   How cool does this look. . . . Want to send someone a card full of good wishes?  I have the perfect stamp set for that!  It’s the Stampin’ Up! Dandelion Wishes Set.

Mystical Evening – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello Stampers,

I know there are a lot of stampers out there that love, love, love card layouts with lots of layers and embellishments but, sometimes that look can really take away from the main image panel you created.

Today’s card for example, I tried a few layout ideas and then stripped the extra layers and embellishments away and just came back to a clean looking layout and that made my main image panel stand out a great deal more.  Even the ribbon was changed a couple of times from a heavier ribbon to this light tulle ribbon.  You have to admit, the main panel really is eye catching without all the fluff, right?

Sweetheart of a Birdie – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello Stampers,

I’m in such good spirits today.  The sun is shining, temperatures will reach 52 degrees, snow is melting, the girls (hens) are out of their coop pecking around and I just checked on the other girls (honey bees) and they made it through the below zero weather, no problem.  Whoohoo!  Gotta love those Northern bees.

If you are wondering why I am calling my honey bees girls too, it’s because all of the worker bees are female.  There are male bees during the warmer months but they all get kicked out of the hive  to die when cold weather is approaching because all they do is lay around and eat the honey stores which is the food to get them through the winter months.  Crazy right?  Don’t worry, the queen will lay more male eggs come Spring.  There is your bee lesson for today, whether you wanted it or not, lol.

Now about today’s card. . . . . .This is a sweet one to send to anyone you love.

I created it mainly using the Best Birds Stamp Set, item 141525.  Boy oh Boy have I gotten a lot of use out of this stamp set!
