It’s that time of year to start thinking about Autumn and the cards we will need during the season. I for one always look forward to making Autumn cards because I so love the color palette.
One of the first things you will notice about the card is it’s size, 4″ x 9″. This is a Wow! card size which fits in a #10 sized business envelope. The #10 size envelopes can be purchased just about any where, I got mine at Wal-mart.
I used the tree stamp from the new Stampin’ Up! Winter Woods stamp set for today’s Autumn card. You can’t name a set with trees in it Winter Woods and not challenge me to use it other seasons. I love it for Autumn as well. I can just envision it for Spring and Summer too.

Now about today’s project, I put together some wonderful sky colors to use with the lighthouse from the Stampin’ Up! High Tide stamp set. I love the light in the bottom of the sky. Putting the main image panel with dark colored layering panels really makes this pop.

I love, love, love the new Stampin’ Up! Blueberry Bushel ink. It’s that bright and cool blue which is terrific for night skies when paired up with Night of Navy and Balmy Blue as seen in today’s project.
I used a couple of stamp sets to mix up the trees in my scene to give it a more realistic look with depth. I hope it inspires you to get inky today!

Check it out, you can make any of your lovely little stamped scenes into a puzzle with this stamp set and coordinating dies. This just made me want to squeal when I first laid eyes on it!
Just think of all the possibilities for making puzzles out of your artwork, like creating a message and then making it a puzzle so the recipient needs to put it together to see the message. LOL, I know a couple of people who would want to kill me for that but, then I know a lot of people who would love it.
I created today’s card for my Hubby, Russ for our 28th anniversary tomorrow. Nothing like waiting until the last minute to make a card. 🙂 I kept the layering panels manly browns and black to not to distract from the puzzle. I hope you are inspired!
