Hello there,

I put Northern Lights in the sky of this Winter scene and combined that great sky with the Greetings from Santa Stamp Set images.  The Designer Series paper from the Stampin’ Up! Moroccan Paper Pack reminds me of a heavy sweater print and goes perfectly  with the scene.  This card has a masculine flair and we all know how hard it is to come up with those masculine cards.

On Another Note. . . . . .

If you are looking for something really fun to do with friends and family check out a game place called “BreakOut.”

Russ and I took a trip to Lexington, KY with some friends this weekend to attend the horse races at Keenland.  We won too!  Anyhow while we were in Lexington we went to play Breakout at the Lexington location.  What happens is you are put in a room and you have to problem solve your way out.  Each room has a theme.  The Lexington location had a special room called the “Derby Heist” that we did.  We were given an hour to work our way out and we missed it by just a few seconds, Ugh!  The photo above is our group after being defeated.  As you see I am the real loser because I even have my “L” backwards on my forehead, lol.

The game is such a blast so see if there is Breakout location in your area.  It is my understand they are everywhere.  Highly recommend and a really, really good time!

Merry Brown Bear – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello there,

I’ve been up early today stamping.  I wanted to give you a project before I turn my attention to my grand daughter, Hailie Jade, who is here visiting with me for 3 days, woot woot!

We have so much fun together.  Take for instance yesterday, we were leaving to go have lunch out and to take in a movie.  Well, I won’t mention any names but, someone in their excitement to spend time with her grand daughter, picked up her cell phone only and quickly went out the door locking it behind her, to then realize she left her purse and keys in the house, yikes!

Well to gain access to the house I had to help Hailie rescue us by climbing through a very small window as we were laughing hysterically.  Needless to say, being the age that she is, she posts the story on her Facebook page with the hashtag #alwaysanadventurewithgrandma, lol.  I’m glad she finds humor in our times together, love her!

If you have been following my blog for a while you have probably seen this beauty grow from infancy to 13.  I cannot believe she is 13, holy cow!

Anyway, her visit has made me want to create a card that is more on the juvenile side, with the cute, cute bear from the Fa-la-la-la Friends stamp set.

I love that you can get some action happening in your scene with the bears by having them hold something, wether it be a sign, heart or die cut as I did in this fun Christmas Card.

Hello there,

I’m back to making Christmas cards today.  I love using cool shades of blue in a scene and then adding a pop of red.  The Santa’s Sleigh Die cuts in Gold and Cherry Cobbler are so beautiful.  I just love all of that scroll work.  Really adds so much to a card with not that much effort, perfect when cranking out a lot of cards at one time.

Hello there,

The witch in today’s proejct seems to really be enjoying herself as she flies around looking for Trick or Treaters to cast her spell on.  I enjoyed putting a few stamp sets together to create this scene.  Pulling images from this set or that set really increases your options and don’t think for a moment that you need to only look at Autumn themed sets this time of year.  I pulled a Christmas themed stamp set image into this scene, can you spot it?
