New stamp set time!  I’m breaking out the new Stampin’ Up! set “The Wilderness Awaits”.  Hello, this set is soooo gorgeous!

My inky fingers are just itching to create something with each and everyone of the stamps in the set.  I call the images in this set “fine line images” and that is the type of image I like to work with the most.  You can get some real WOW scenes going with them.

On another  note . . . . . .

It’s strawberry time here and my little strawberry bed has been putting out some super wonderful berries this year.   I pick a bowl full every day and to keep up with them, so not even one berry goes unused, I hull and clean them under running cold water and let them air dry on a towel.

Next they are placed on a cookie sheet in a single layer an flash froze for an hour or so.  Then they are put into a freezer bag and into the freezer to be used as needed, mmmm.

Peony Sympathy – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello there,

I broke out a brand new set of stamps today, Stampin’ Up’s You’ve Got This.  I wanted to show in today’s project how to layer images, light image in front of dark image.  The main image panel is one piece in this project, not any cut out images.

Sympathy cards are one card that I don’t stock pile.  I create my sympathy cards as I need them.  I like to have the person in mind while creating it.  There is just one problem with that, how do you keep the card stock dry?

This card was created with a very heavy heart.  A friend and fellow stamper, Nancy Parks passed away suddenly this week.

Nancy and her daughter Kari come to my card classes here at my house often.  Watching mother and daughter laughing and enjoying each others company while creating was pure joy.

Hello there,

Do you love the beach?  I always say I love the beach, but truth be told I love to look at the beach.  I don’t like the feel of sand stuck to me or how it is hard to walk in sand.  I certainly don’t like to get in the ocean, there is stuff swimming around in there!  I really love to sit in a lounge chair, in the shade, sipping a drink while I look at the beach and listen to the waves.  Yep, that’s how I love the beach. . . . . .but next to that I love to stamp  beach things, lol.

In today’s project I’ve introduced a new color to my palate, Tip Top Taupe.  It’s one of the new In-colors that will be out in the All New Stampin’ Up! Annual catalog that starts June 2nd.  Believe me you will want this color!

I have a card for you today that would be lovely to use  for a Wedding or Anniversary card. Two birds facing each other just scream love.  🙂

It’s always sad to say goodbye to great stamps and accessories but we’re saying goodbye to retiring products from the 2014-2015 annual catalog, before we do, we’re giving everyone an opportunity to order their favorites with discounts up to 50 percent off retail. Retiring products will only be available until June 2, or while supplies last, so you will need to get them before they’re gone!
