Hello there,

I’ve been so wrapped up in creating my Christmas cards I almost forgot it was Autumn.   Autumn is my most favorite time of the year.  I love the colors, smell of the dried fallen leaves and the cool crisp weather.  Now I said cool weather, not cold.  “Did you hear that Mother Nature!”

Living were I do in Ohio farm country I get to enjoy watching the farmer’s harvest their fields.  It’s such a joyful time, the roadside stands are just bursting with every size, shape and color of pumpkins you could ever dream of.  Don’t forget the apple cider they sell,  mmmmm!

So I guess you know now why I was inspired to create today’s card and tutorial.  I hope you are inspired to give this project a try.

Cardinal in the Window – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello There,

My project today shows how to create a very common scene in Ohio.  Winter skies here have a gray cast and of course, you see many cardinals in our area.  It’s our state bird.  🙂

I did take a risk with this card.  I cut my scene up in order to give it that window look.   When creating I just keep in mind that it is just paper and ink I’m working with.  If something doesn’t work out it’s okay to file it in the circular file and start over.    More times than not the risk you took will be worth it.

I’m getting lots of use out of this Beauty of the Season stamp set.  Here are a couple of other cards I created with it.

We have been having the perfect Autumn weather here in Ohio, cool mornings and warm afternoons with lots of sunshine and blue, blue skies.  I’ve noticed the leaves on the trees are actually starting to get an orange tint to them.  Love it!

Hello There,

Happy Saturday!  Gotta love the weekend.  I wish I was one of those people that could sleep in but, my internal clock alarm always goes off around 4:00 am.  I’m for sure a morning person.  I can usually get in a half a days work before most people wake on the weekend, which is a good thing because then I get the play around the rest of the day.  🙂

Today I used the fun Stampin’ Up! Set White Christmas to create this dramatic Winter scene.  The shadows in the snow add so much, don’t you think?

Hello There,

Today’s card is all about the handmade marble background and the sentiment.  I personally am very bad about expressing how very much my family means to me.  This card would be a great way to show them, especially if you wrote inside just how wonderful they are.

Hello There,

Well I’m back from the Stampin’ Up! Founder’s Circle Retreat.  I’m a bit jet lagged but happy to be home in my cozy office creating.  The retreat was AMAZING!  I’ll share some photos as soon as I get caught up a bit.
