Hello Stamping Friends,

I find silhouette scenes fun to make, especially if I don’t feel like figuring out what colors to use on my main images.  I’m lazy like that sometimes, lol.  Just keeping it real!  So, today I made the ducks from the Feathered Flight stamp set, 162726,  very dark so they would pop in the sky, super simple.  I also geared the layout  towards the masculine side and kept if very simple with no frills.

Hello Stamping friends,

I always think fruits and vegetable images make for a great note card or thank you card.  I created this one today using the mushrooms from the new Inspirational Sketches stamp set.  Making them a bright color has them POP against a pale background then add some dark images in front and you have a scene with a lot of depth and therefore, makes your scene really stand out.

Kiddin’ Around Card

I’m using a super cute stamp set today, Kiddin’ Around.   ADORABLE!!!!   I love every image and it’s perfect to make kid cards with.    My card scene today has the little wizard image creating a colorful rainbow.    I can think of so many things that could pop out of his stick wand and I’m looking forward to getting them onto some of my cards in the near future.

Whoo Wee, I love this new die cut from the brand new Delicate Forest Bundle. This arching trees die is so perfect to frame out so many different scenes. My mind is just racing with ideas to use it with. I also love the images from the Delicate Forest Stamp Set. Silhouette stamps are always among my favorites because you can use them in your scenes and don’t need to worry about coloring them, just stamp them in black. This makes for quick cards!

Butterfly’s Favorite Postage Card

Hello Stamping friends,

I had so much fun creating this card using some new products such as, the Paper Butterfly Accents, Thoughtful Moments Hybrid Embossing Folder, Perennial Postage Dies and the Stampin’ UP! new Brayer.   You can find all of the links to these products below in the supply list for this project.

Screenshot 2024-01-26 at 9.33.04 AMOne word on the new brayer, this brayer is a harder plastic brayer that is perfect for inking up embossing folders and stamps, etc.  It is not so good at laying color on card stock.  I have use to brayer a lot and it’s best to get a soft rubber brayer to lay down color on card stock and to blend them.   I for one, love to use blending brushes to blend colors with now, super easy!  The new brayer is perfect for its intended use.  I used it a couple different ways in this card.

Color can sure make a statement on your cards. Especially, bright colors. They are eye catching, very cheerful and fun. I sure brought the color on today’s card and used the new Hot Air Balloon Bundle from Stampin’ Up! This bundle lets you create so many different hot air balloons and in different sizes. The different sizes in this bundle helps when you are creating a scene with depth. You can use the smaller balloons in your background and then add the larger balloon in the foreground. Today, I focused on the heart shaped balloon. I made this card a birthday card but you can use this heart shaped balloon for a wedding, anniversary or valentines cards as well.
