Today, I decided to put one of the beautiful snowflake dies from the So Many Snowflakes Dies Set to work on a popped up card topper.  This really adds such great interest to the card since you can see through the snowflake to background.  Adds a lot of bang without a lot of bulk to the card which means a lot when paying for postage. 🙂

Hello Stampers,

Today’s card can be given for a few different occasions ranging from Christmas to Sympathy.  I say sympathy because so many people believe that  

it’s such a lovely thought, especially in my neck of the woods where we see cardinals all the time.  My husband says “everyone who has passed away in our family are having a party at our house.”  Like I said, we have lots of cardinals.

The beautiful cardinal I used today comes from the Stampin’ Up! stamp set Toile Christmas.  I cannot get enough of this bird.  Here are just a few of the cards I did in past months using this set.

Dancing Polar Bear – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello Stampers,

A couple of ladies on my Stampin’ Up! Team used the ice skating bear from the Warm & Toasty Stamp Set without the skates in one of our team card challenges.  He stands more upright without the skates and to me he looks like he is dancing.  This is another great way to use this stamp and I could not wait to add him to one of my cards this way myself.  I love his happy expression!

Snowy Pine – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello Stampers,

I’m playing with the new Stampin’ Up! In the Pines stamp set today.  This is the perfect set for creating scenes with pine trees and the set even has a stamp to create the snow on the branches for every tree in the set!  Use the emboss resist technique to get the great snow covering on the tree I stamped today.  This set is at the top of my list for favorites out of the August-December mini catalog.

For the deer, I used the die cut from the Snow Globe Scenes Dies Set.  I think this scene would be great with the beautiful church or bears die cuts from set also.  :). So many options!

Today I’m show casing one of the returning favorites stamp sets, Christmas Gleaming.  I am so glad Stampin’ Up! decided to bring this stamp set back along with the coordinating punches for the ornaments.  It’s a beautiful stamp set and you can see why it is so popular.

I really got festive today and added a stenciled polka dot embossed background and shaded the ornaments to give them a curved look. 🙂

When I opened the new August-December (holiday) Catalog, one of the very first items I put on my list was the Warm & Toasty Stamp Set.  How can you not smile looking at these images?

This is my first project with this stamp set and I know there will be many more before the year is out.
Tip:  If you wish to make multiples of a multi-step project, cut your main panels and do the first step on each panel, then the second on each panel and so forth.  This streamlines the process and before you know you have a stack of out of this world cards to pop in the mail.  Creating the cards one by one will take you much longer.

Hello Stampers,

I cannot resist creating a Christmas Card each year featuring a big pine tree.  The Christmas tree has been such a tradition with my family and the holidays.  Just thinking about it takes me back to holiday dinners at my Grandmother’s house.  Her tree and entire house was and decorated from Thanksgiving until after New Years.  What a great tree she had.  You could just tell she put each ornament on the tree with a lot of thought and love, it was perfect.  So, here is a card to Christmas past, present and the future.  It was a joy to create using the Stampin’ Up! Winter Woods stamp set, 147661.  Hopefully it will stir up wonderful memories to the recipient as well and maybe you as well.
