Well, so far this month I have tackled a Halloween card and Christmas card.  It’s only fair that I give the Thanksgiving Holiday it’s turn.  It was easy using some new Stamp sets from the Holiday Catalog.

Hello there,

Here in Ohio for the past week or so we have been having un-seasonally cool weather.  It had put me in the mood for Autumn just about.  I have to admit I was enjoying those cool temps.

But this week, well it sure feels more like August in Ohio, hot and humid.  I know the farmers here love the hot weather because it ripens things up so I’m glad the hot weather is back because I love me some ripe fruits and veggies.

Does all of your kitchen surfaces look like mine right now, if so GOOD FOR YOU!

I picked pears and tomatoes this morning and this afternoon I see a pot of homemade tomato pasta sauce in my future and tomorrow possibly a pot of pear butter or pear sauce.  Can you say YUM!

Now about today’s project.. . . . .  . .

I wanted to keep with my Summery mood and use some warm, even hot colors.  This emboss resist piece will put anyone in a sunny mood, don’t you think?

Hello  there,

I’ve been on egg watch, just 2 more days until we find out if any of the fertile eggs Goldie has been sitting on will hatch.  I’m still keeping my fingers crossed that we have a few hens and not all rooster and that the eggs will hatch at all.  Goldie is being such a good egg sitter.  I hope she gets something out of  her 21 days of sitting.  How amazing is it that a baby chick will form in the egg in a mere 21 days?  I’ll keep you posted.

Today’s project has been rattling around in my mind every since I laid eyes on the You Little Furball Stamp set.

 

So here it is.  🙂  I’m glad to put it on paper to free up a bit of room in my memory, lol.  What a great stamp set to work with.  I love that the cat heads are not attached to the bodies in this set.  That makes it so much fun to mix and match the bodies and heads but to also be able to tilt the heads to convey emotion.

This little guy in my card is just waiting for someone to walk past so he can jump out and grab an ankle, lol.

Hello There,

Boy of Boy, I had so much fun creating the background for today’s project.  I love layering color and images to get that unique look.  I used the brand new Stampin’ Up! sets Tap Tap Tap and Larger Than Life Alphabet.

On another note, I’m going to go chill in my easy chair and shell peas that were picked fresh from my garden this morning.  This is a morning ritual until the pea plants stop producing.  I like to blanch and then freeze them to have for meals later on in the year, that is if they don’t immediately go to the dinner table tonight.  Mmmm, fresh peas in butter with a little salt or plain on a salad.  You can’t beat it!

Hello there,

I’ve got a masculine card for you today and it includes a sneak peek of a stamp in the brand new Stampin’ Up! Traveler set.    I can tell already this is going to be one of my favorite sets in the new catalog.  You will want to put this one on your list for sure.
