Hello Stampers,

It is no surprise to anyone that one of my favorite new products in the new Stampin’ Up! Annual catalog is the Beauty of Friendship Bundle, 155834.

I decided to use the stamps and heat embossing to create the pretty flowering tree on my card today.  I used, for the first time, one of the new In Colors, Fresh Freesia.  OMG!  Where has this color been all my stamping days.  It’s the perfect mix of pink and purple and certainly made this card.

Hello Stampers,

How are you doing on your Christmas cards so far this year?  Have you started them?  I generally start mine in September and I’m happily working away on them.  I like to make a few different ones so it takes me a bit longer an if I cranked out a bunch of the same ones.  There is nothing wrong with making them all the same, I just enjoy coming up with different ones and taking the time for myself to enjoy the process.

Todays card would be a nice card to make to send for the holiday or, I believe, it would make a wonderful Winter anniversary card as well.

Autumn Bird Stampin’ Up! Card

It dawned on me this morning that I could make many different birds with the Detailed Dove Dies.  I’m not quite sure why it took me a while to figure that out.  I’m just glad I finally realized it and now my head is spinning with new card ideas using these dies.

Although I didn’t use the the coordinating Dove of hope stamp set on this card, you can bundle the dies and stamps at a discounted price.
For this card I teamed the dies up with the Life is Beautiful stamp set and gave it a wonderful Autumn glow.

Snowy Pine – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello Stampers,

I’m playing with the new Stampin’ Up! In the Pines stamp set today.  This is the perfect set for creating scenes with pine trees and the set even has a stamp to create the snow on the branches for every tree in the set!  Use the emboss resist technique to get the great snow covering on the tree I stamped today.  This set is at the top of my list for favorites out of the August-December mini catalog.

For the deer, I used the die cut from the Snow Globe Scenes Dies Set.  I think this scene would be great with the beautiful church or bears die cuts from set also.  :). So many options!

Christmas Gleaming with Polka Dots – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello Stampers,

Today I’m show casing one of the returning favorites stamp sets, Christmas Gleaming.  I am so glad Stampin’ Up! decided to bring this stamp set back along with the coordinating punches for the ornaments.  It’s a beautiful stamp set and you can see why it is so popular.

I really got festive today and added a stenciled polka dot embossed background and shaded the ornaments to give them a curved look. 🙂

Life is Beautiful – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello Stampers,

I pulled out some Autumn colors today for this project and used the brand new stamp set, Life is Beautiful.  This stamp set will take us through every season so it’s a great investment, but look at it shine now for those upcoming Autumn cards.  They will be needed before we know it.

Tip:  I know it’s tempting to stamp trees straight up and down but, you can get a more interesting scene if you stamp your tree at a bit of an angle.  🙂

Hello Stampers,

I hope this post finds you snug and safe in your crafting space.  I’ve been living in mine and keeping as germ free as possible.

I came up with a great color combo and technique for you today.  Teamed up Soft Suede, Pool Party and Crumb Cake for the color combo and then added some great copper elements to make this project shine.

The technique used is emboss resist, resist.  This is such a fun way to layer images.  I was pleasantly surprised by the painted look the daisies took on, woohoo!  Bonus!  The background took on a nice faux suede look, too.  🙂

Hello Stampers,

I love, love, love when I can put two of my favorite stamp sets together.  It gives me so many options for different scenes.  Especially the Stampin’ Up! Snow Front and Nature’s Beauty Stamp sets which have lots of scenery images.  These two sets are must haves in my opinion.

I used a little bit of Emboss Resist Magic to build this scene.  It worked out just as I imagined, wonderful!
