Spring into Spring – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello Stampers,

Sometimes I find I get into a bit of a rut and cannot, for the life of me, figure out which stamp set I would like to use.  So, many great stamps!  When this happens I play a bit of a game with myself, I take out my Stampin’ Up! catalog, flip it open quickly and use the stamps on that page.  I had to laugh when I did this today and found myself staring at Christmas stamps, lol.

I love a challenge so, I used the Winter Woods stamp set, item 147661 and the Dashing Deer coordinating dies, Detailed Deer Thinlits, item 147915 to create this Spring card.  My little game paid off today with a card I am super happy with and I got additional use out of my Christmas Holiday products.

A Dog’s Day – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello Stampers,

I bet you have a lot of pet lovers on your card list.  I know I do!  I created today’s card without a sentiment so I can use if for many occasions, but this would especially be perfect for a pet sympathy card.  Man, those cards are tough to come up with so make a few of these to keep on hand.

Tip:  Keep your duplicate cards in a clear baggie with a post it note on them that includes the names of those you have sent the card to already.  This will help you feel assured that you haven’t already sent the same card to someone before.

I left the sky area open to stamp that perfect sentiment when it’s time to send out.

Positive Thoughts Collage – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello and Happy Friday Stampers!

I just receive the Stampin’ UP! Positive Thoughts stamp set in my latest order and the very first thing I wanted to do with it is make a collage type card.  Just about anything goes in creating a collage.  You can put images over images then add some light and dark areas for interest, so fun!  I added some dark areas in the center of my collage and the dark colors pushed that area to the back and pushed the light areas to the foreground.

I hope you get some stamping time this weekend to play with this technique.  I think you will really enjoy the process.

Hello Stampers,

I have a little challenge for you today.  I’ve found stampers are unsure of what to do with those stamp sets which are filled with collage and textures stamps so, my challenge is for you to pick 2 or three of those stamp sets and mix them together to create your background and then add a big flower in a color you used in your background.  Layer those background images, it’s so fun.
