Fox in Winter Wonderland – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello there,

Thanks for being patient while I took a break from blogging in order to relax and have fun at the Stampin’ Up! Founder’s Circle Retreat. I just returned home last night.  The trip as usual was amazing, but I’m always happy to be back home in my office stamping my heart out.

Today’s card is a take on my Founder’s Circle Swap. This one is a little bit stepped up from my swap card.  I needed to make 110 swap cards so I left off a few things to make it a reasonable swap card that didn’t take me weeks to finish.

Have you checked out the Sleigh Ride Edgeless Die, item #139670 yet?  That is what I used to created the diecut layer of snow and trees, super easy and very duplicatable.  Just right for making lots of Christmas cards that say Wow!Screen Shot 2015-09-21 at 12.27.53 PM

I teamed up the diecut with another great item from the Holiday Catalog, the Jingle All the Way stamp set, item #139907.

This stamp set has lots of images to add to your snowy scenes, like the fox, which gives this scene a bit of a pop! 🙂

The deer image in the Stampin’ Up! stamp set Jolly Christmas is so handsome.  The stamp set is a definite Christmas themed one, but look how great it looks in a none Winter scene as well.  Yep, I’m still trying to think outside of box to get more use out of the great holiday stamp sets I purchase.  I hope this helps you as well.

Happy Autumn Cardinal – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello there,

Are you loving the new Stampin’ Up! holiday products from the Holiday Catalog as much as I am?  I swear, the catalog has something for everyone.  For me it has everything!

I purchased the Joyful Season stamp set, item #139770 with the intention of using it to create Christmas/Winter Cards, but when it arrived I decided to give it a whirl with a more Autumn flavor in today’s project.  I’m also looking down the road with this stamp set and can envision this cardinal gracing the front of a Spring card as well.  In other words I will be putting some mileage on this puppy!    It’s so good to stretch that imagination and think outside of the box it makes our stamps all the more valuable.

Today’s card would be awesome as a birthday, thinking of you or even a Thanksgiving card if you put a “grateful for you” sentiment on it.  🙂

I think this cardinal has a smile on his face as he is soaking up that sunshine, don’t you?

I hope your Labor Day weekend has been a great one.  I’m spending my holiday today canning applesauce made from some terrific apples I picked up at an Apple Orchard on our weekend trip up to Ohio’s Amish Country.

Today I am playing with a gorgeous new stamp set “Lighthearted Leaves”, item 139712, all the leaves in this set are to die for.  I paired one of the leaves up with the “Flowering Flourishes” stamp set.  Made them a fun water background and this colorful card is ready to send. Sneak Peek Spooky Owl – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello there,

I’m having so much fun with the new products in the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog that will be live in just 5 days!  Woot Woot!

In my card today I used the Owl from a new set Howl-o-ween Treat, item 139687, sentiment from the Seasonal Frame Thinlits Dies, item 139658 die cut from the super sparkle Black Glimmer paper,  branch from the Among the Branches set, item 139823 and the new yummy Into the Woods 3/8″ Cotton Ribbon in Rich Razzleberry, item 139612.  Put these item on your wish list for sure.  So many fun, fun items.

I think this owl looks crazy cute hanging upside down in front of my swirling sky.  I do believe this owl wishes he were a bat, lol.

Hello there,

As you can see I’m continuing on playing with the new stuff and giving you sneak peeks from the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog that will go live on September 1st.  There is so much great stuff in this catalog, I am really having a hard time figuring out what to use first.

Today I settled on a must have sneak peek item, the Sleigh Ride Edgelits Dies, item #139670 and teamed it up with another sneak peek, Jingle All the Way stamp set, item 139907.

I have to confess, I did a bit of cussing this morning while trying to photograph this card.  It’s maddening to try to capture the beautiful sparkle from the Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter I added to the snow.  My photos just don’t capture it well.   So use your imagination, the snow is totally sparkling, lol.

I hope this projects inspires you to start thinking about what Christmas Cards you will be making.  Ya know, Christmas is just around the corner, lol.
