Hello Autumn 2015 – Stampin’ Up! Card

I have a bit more of a sneak peekage for you today. I’m using the Cheer All Year Stampin’ Up! stamp set and Spider Web Doilies that will be available on September 1st in the new Holiday Catalog.  I teamed those items up with the  ever popular White Christmas stamp set that is available now in the Annual Catalog, item #135767.

I created a bit of a window frame for my scene.  This is a wonderful way to showcase your artwork on a card front.   Also a great place to add a spider web.  🙂

My inspiration came from this photo I took while on my walk the other morning.  Seriously, we have spiderwebs every where this time of year.  I tend to walk into them a lot in my yard while gardening.  I’m pretty sure the neighbors think I have taken up karate, if you know what I mean, lol.

Mercy Me, how I love all the new stuff that is coming your way in the upcoming Stampin’ Up! Autumn Friend – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello there,

As I was making today’s project I found myself re-inking every ink pad before I used it.  I don’t add a lot of re-inker to each pad just about 10 drops.  This is the perfect amount for my liking.  I really dislike an over inked pad, but I really don’t like a dry one.

I’m asked often, “how do you get your scenes to look so vibrant?”  Re-inking my ink pads often is the answer.  My number one ink rule is never purchase an ink pad without purchasing the re-inker to go with it.

Also, don’t be afraid to be quite heavy with sponging or brayering.  Keep in mind your projects will dry at least 2 shades lighter.  Nothing worse than your project looking faded out after it dries completely.  So, go forth and re-ink my friends.  🙂

Brick Wall Embossing Folder, item 138288.  This embossing folder really sent my mind a whirling with ideas.  I’m glad to have gotten one of those ideas down on card stock today.  I hope you like it.  🙂

Hello there,

I can never get enough of a scene with mountains reflecting in the water.   They are not only serene and beautiful to look at but they are fun to create on paper. The tree in the Sheltering Tree stamp set, item #137163 is the perfect object to put in the fore ground to create depth.

Leaf images are not just for the Autumn Season.  We tend to forget about our leaf stamps through Spring and Summer.  Today’s project shows just how great the leaves in the Stampin’ Up! Vintage Leaves stamp set are  used outside of the Autumn Season.

Today’s tutorial will show you how to layer those leaf images with the embossed embossed technique.  I think you will be surprised how this comes together.  🙂

Hello there,

I have one happy dragonfly in my project today.  I do believe he is smiling while flying around in the field of flowers.  🙂  I know I’m smiling since I got to use the Awesomely Artistic Stampin’ Up! Stamp set, item #139950 today.  Very beautiful images!  It’s the only stamp set you need to pull today’s project together.

Hello there,

It’s been a while since I stamped a collage style card.  They are super fun because I can get messy and pull together stamp sets that I normally wouldn’t.  I’m always surprised with how things turn out.  Believe me it is never ends up how I had envisioned when starting, but I’m always pleased with the results.

I hope this project inspires you to get a bit messy today too.
