Hello there,

Today I created this beach scene using sponging.  What!  no brayer, that’s right sponges.  What I ended up with is a serene beach scene that you can put any of the three sentiments in the Wetlands stamp set with.   This stamp set is extremely versatile for both female and those hard to make male cards.

Hello there,

I have a bright shining project for you today.  Sunlight through the trees always lifts my spirits and I hope it lifts yours today as well.

This project was created using the Kinda Eclectic stamp set.  The leaf image in this set looks so realistic and well the sun ray image sure does warm up a scene.

I also added Dotted Lace Trim in Delightful Dijon.  This lace trim is a dream to work with on cards and packages.  It is so easy to tie and it is light in weight with a great stretch.  It comes in the five 2015-2016 in-colors.

Today’s card makes me want to take a drive in the country.  🙂  The trees from the Stampin’ Up! In the Meadow stamp set made a lovely image in the foreground.  There is a mountain stamp in the stamp set but I wanted the trees to be the main  focal point in this particular scene so I created my own little hills in the background so the trees wouldn’t be overpowered.  This also created a lot of depth in the scene.

I’m ready for gardening season.  How about you?

I used the super cute Stampin’ Up! You’re Sublime stamp set and filled the wheel barrel to overflowing with bright punched flowers.  Plunked the wheel barrel down in a fresh plowed garden bed and gave the whole garden a bright sun.

The You’re Sublime set has great cheery images and greetings.

On another note. . . .

I just returned from a short trip to Oklahoma where I got to participate in a wonderful fund raiser held by Sherri Peters and her Inking for Others Group and over 200 stamping participants.  I love when stamping is used to raise money.  Everyone has a blast and a great charity benefits from it, WIN, WIN!  It’s a great way to get involved.

Along with all the stamping fun, I got to hang out with my buddies, Sherri Peters (middle) and Lorri Heiling (right).  I look like I’m dreaming of my next stamping project.  Not sure what I am looking at, lol.   Don’t you just love when you look goofy in a photo and everyone else looks great.. . . .

Hello there,

I love making silhouette images out of stamps that are normally colored images.  For instances the goose in this scene from the Wetlands stamp set is easily made into a silhouette.    Looks great in front of this sunset I created.

Bird Reflection – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello there,

This time of year and I am torn between my gardening and stamping.  But today, the weeds will have to wait,  I couldn’t wait to get in my craft room and make this reflection scene.  It’s how I am, I get a project in my mind and I cannot rest until it’s done.  Are you like that?

This bird from the Stampin’ Up! An Open Heart Stamp set is my favorite bird image.  So easy to color and it’s a good sized image.  It makes a great reflection too!

Hello there,

I live in Ohio where it is extremely flat farm land and every time I FaceTime with my sister, Sonja in Colorado I get the urge to do a mountain/rock formation card.  Well guess who I spoke to this morning, lol.    I decided to put a flower meadow in front of the mountains in today’s card.  I hope this inspires you to get inky today.  This is a fun layered scene that gives you a lot of depth..

Hello there,

First, I’m so happy to be in my studio creating away this morning.  I have a sick husband at home with the flu, ugh.  I’m hiding away trying not to get that bug.  I’ve sprayed a massive about of Lysol on everything and if he would let me I would spray some on Russ too.  Don’t get me wrong, I do feel very sorry for him, but no get well hugs from me until that bug is out of this house.

I created a calming card today.  This would be a terrific card to send anyone that needs a little bit of peace and tranquility in their life.  I think I’ll pop this in the mail to myself, just kidding.
