Sometimes it can be fun to see what you can create without the use of even one stamp. That is just what I did today and made this scene using mainly a few Stampin’ Up! punches, ink and card stock.

Crooked Trunks – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello there,

I was hoping to get some stamping in yesterday but, fate had a different plan for my day. The night before, a drunk driver drove off the road into the drainage ditch of our next door neighbor’s property and coming out of the ditch the car went airborne and slammed into a power pole. The drunk couple in the car got out okay and thank goodness they ran into a pole instead of another car. Long story short, we didn’t have power until the pole was replaced etc. It was a very dark and cold day. I spent the day with so many layers of clothing on trying to stay warm there was no way I would be comfortable stamping, lol. Good thing I’ve lost weight and had plenty of fat clothes to layer on. That’s right I’m down 42 lbs now, woot woot!

Now that I have light and heat today it sure was nice getting back into my studio to stamp my cares away, so therapeutic.

If you know my style you know that I love to use stamps in unexpected ways. Today I took a stamp from the beloved, Lovely as a Tree stamp set and put a twist on it. I gave the trees these whimsical crooked trunks.

Convertible Bug – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello there,

I thought it would be fun to take the car image from the Beautiful Ride Stamp set and make a convertible out of it. Paper Snips made quick work of that. 🙂

I also took my main image panel and layered it with Whisper White and Black card stock to give this card a comic book look. I think this look is perfect for a card for young people of driving age.

Fox Resting – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello there,

My tutorial for today shows a great way to layer objects in a scene. It’s nice to be able to put plants behind an animal etc. to get some depth in the scene. I certainly love this fox image from the Wilderness Awaits stamp set.

Here is another card I created with him a couple of months ago.

It’s wonderful to be able to use this image in different seasons.

I kept the layout for today’s project very clean looking to make the card more appropriate for a man.

Little Lamb – Stampin’ Up! Card

Have you seen this sweet little Easter Lamb in the Occasions catalog. It occurred to me that this lamb would also be great on a baby card. Wouldn’t you agree?

I decided to make a card that could be used for either. It only depends on what you stamp in the card that will determine it’s use.

I kept the scene nice and soft by leaning heavily on the use of pastel colors.
