I hope you are having a terrific weekend.  I took a couple of days off from blogging to clear my head and morn for my Lucas.  But, I am back and ready to create, create, create.

Hello there,

If you haven’t guessed it yet, by reading my blog, I’m a tree hugger!  Yes, I must confess, I love trees.  If I had to pick just one stamp out of all the stamps in the world to use it would be a tree stamp.  This Stampin’ Up! tree stamp from the Thoughts and Prayers set has to be one of the most beautiful tree images ever, in my opinion anyway.

Mixed Bunch Tile Card – Stampin’ Up!

Hello There,
This morning I thought I would play around with creating a tile card with the Stampin’ Up! Mixed Bunch set and Hello, Lovely set.  I started with the free Sale-a-bration Designer Series Paper (DSP), Sweet Sorbet and used the colors in the DSP for my tile images.  This is much, much easier than creating a tile and then trying to find a Designer Series Paper to match.  Plus, I love the colors in the DSP.

Stamper’s Lamp

Hello There,

I just want to share a little project that has been sitting on the back burner for some time.

When I was touring the Stampin’ Up! facility in Kanab, Utah last September, I spotted a fillable lamp that was in their showroom.  It was beautifully filled with stamps and I wanted to pick it up and carry it out, but since I would have been tackled at the door, I created my own version for my own home.

I purchased the fillable lamp from Amazon.com.  The bottom of the lamp has a wing nut you unscrew and the lamp comes apart.  I filled mine with some retired, yet beautiful, Stampin’ Up! stamps.   How fun it that!

Well that is one item off my to do list.  Now on to the next.. . . . . . .

Happy Valentines Day my Friend!
Question, do you find that you are always making things for others and then look around your own home and discover that you have nothing handmade in sight?  Well that is what happens here.  It’s amazing that I create something almost everyday, but keep nothing for myself.  Kind of sad really.

On another note. . . . . . . .

Pictured above is 6 Enchilada dishes I put in my freezer.

For the past 2 days I have been filling my freezer full of chicken freezer meals.  57 meals to be exact.  I’m still worn out, but so very satisfied to have so many meals done. 🙂

I discovered this great company, Zaycon Foods to purchase our  fresh, hormon free meat from and at great price. There is probably a location near you that Zaycon delivers too.  Click here if you wish to check them out.

Especially watch Good Morning America’s video regarding the company at the bottom of Zaycon Food’s home page.  Love this company!

Anyhow, being the over achiever that I am, I purchased 80 lbs of chicken breast, lol.   That’s a lot of chicken!  When I got it home I thought holy cow (or chicken) what did I do, lol.  Needless to say I was glad to get the last of it in the freezer.

Today I am packing and will be hopping on a plane this afternoon to attend my nephew’s wedding in Colorado.  I’m so excited for the happy couple.  Gotta love a wedding.  🙂

Hello There,
I love getting more out of my stamps by omitting part of the image to get a complete different look.  For instance, I just used part of the new Stampin’ Up! single stamp, People Like You  in today’s project.
It’s a beautiful image as is, but it’s nice to see it in a different light and get more mileage out it.  What do you think, did I pull it off?
It’s my hope that this inspires you to take another look at your stamps and see what images you can pull out of them.

Patriotic Horse

Hello There,
How about a little bit of down home patriotic flair today?
One of my favorite things to do for a background of a silhouette image is some simple Red, White and Blue ink using the direct to paper technique, plus it grabs my heart as well.
I am using this card as a birthday card, but the sentiment could easily be changed to say thank you, thinking of you etc.
I hope this card inspires you as well.  🙂

Baby Carriage – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello There,

It’s pretty easy from day to day to see what I have on my mind by what I create for the day.  Yesterday it was sunshine and flowers today it’s babies.  Let me explain. . . .

This is my Son, Mitch, Daughter-in-law, Jamie, Granddaughter, Hailie Jade and Grand dog, Slug.    We received this photo from them at a Christmas party.  At first, when I opened it I was just so excited to have a picture of all of them together and then my son says “Mom did you read it”?   Well the tears flowed after that.  We are so excited that they are expecting our second grand child!  What a way to tell us too.  I love this picture!

Also, we got the news that my lovely Niece Sarah is expecting as well.  🙂

So, that is why I have babies on my mind, lol.  What a fantastic job I have where I can wake up in the morning, head to my office on the other side of the house in my pj’s and put on paper what I have conjured up in my mind.  I want to thank all of you for being here on my journey.  I truly hope you glean something from every project you see here.
