Peony Sympathy – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello there,

I broke out a brand new set of stamps today, Stampin’ Up’s You’ve Got This.  I wanted to show in today’s project how to layer images, light image in front of dark image.  The main image panel is one piece in this project, not any cut out images.

Sympathy cards are one card that I don’t stock pile.  I create my sympathy cards as I need them.  I like to have the person in mind while creating it.  There is just one problem with that, how do you keep the card stock dry?

I will show you step by step how to create this project in today’s tutorial.

This card was created with a very heavy heart.  A friend and fellow stamper, Nancy Parks passed away suddenly this week.

Nancy and her daughter Kari come to my card classes here at my house often.  Watching mother and daughter laughing and enjoying each others company while creating was pure joy.

Nancy we will miss you. . . .

Please help me by keeping the Parks Family in your thoughts and prayers as they morn Nancy’s passing.

Hello there,

Do you love the beach?  I always say I love the beach, but truth be told I love to look at the beach.  I don’t like the feel of sand stuck to me or how it is hard to walk in sand.  I certainly don’t like to get in the ocean, there is stuff swimming around in there!  I really love to sit in a lounge chair, in the shade, sipping a drink while I look at the beach and listen to the waves.  Yep, that’s how I love the beach. . . . . .but next to that I love to stamp  beach things, lol.

In today’s project I’ve introduced a new color to my palate, Tip Top Taupe.  It’s one of the new In-colors that will be out in the All New Stampin’ Up! Annual catalog that starts June 2nd.  Believe me you will want this color!

Hello there,

I have a card for you today that would be lovely to use  for a Wedding or Anniversary card. Two birds facing each other just scream love.  🙂

This card has lots of dimension with the cut out window, popped up birds and bow.  I kept the sky colors bright to really show off that heart cut out.

Hello there,

How many stamping tools do you have that have been put into boxes or drawers and forgotten although you loved them dearly when you bought them?  I looked around this evening to see what I could use that I hadn’t in a while and I came across my piercing tools.  Wow, I use to use my piercing tools constantly and I don’t know why I quit.  Simply piercing around a panel is such a great effect.

A Little Gray – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello there,

I used the stamp set Vivid Vases and used vivid colors so the stamp set would live up to it’s name and those vases would really pop.  Many sentiments could be used on this card to make it a great card to have on hand.  🙂

Today’s tutorial especially shows a step by step breakdown of this project and how to put light colored objects in front of dark backgrounds.

Hello there,

Check out the sky in today’s project.  It’s so fun to create it using the Stampin’ Up! set, Sheltering Tree.   The Sheltering Tree stamp set is fast becoming one of my go to sets.  You know what I mean, we all have those few stamp sets that are so ink stained from use because they are extremely versatile.  🙂

I’ll show you how to make this card in today’s tutorial.
