Hello there,

Do you love the beach?  I always say I love the beach, but truth be told I love to look at the beach.  I don’t like the feel of sand stuck to me or how it is hard to walk in sand.  I certainly don’t like to get in the ocean, there is stuff swimming around in there!  I really love to sit in a lounge chair, in the shade, sipping a drink while I look at the beach and listen to the waves.  Yep, that’s how I love the beach. . . . . .but next to that I love to stamp  beach things, lol.

In today’s project I’ve introduced a new color to my palate, Tip Top Taupe.  It’s one of the new In-colors that will be out in the All New Stampin’ Up! Annual catalog that starts June 2nd.  Believe me you will want this color!

Hello there,

How many stamping tools do you have that have been put into boxes or drawers and forgotten although you loved them dearly when you bought them?  I looked around this evening to see what I could use that I hadn’t in a while and I came across my piercing tools.  Wow, I use to use my piercing tools constantly and I don’t know why I quit.  Simply piercing around a panel is such a great effect.

What is your favorite tool that you have neglected lately?

Check it out, no need to have a boring run of the mill cell phone case when you can create a one of a kind piece of art to show off on the back of your smart phone.  You are only limited by your imagination.  Just think, you could have one for every holiday and season.  Super simple to switch out the design in the case.  🙂  Not in to decorating your phone, then put this scene on a beautiful card instead.  My suggestion, do both, grin.

Under the Sea – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello there,

This has been such an interesting week so far for me.  Yesterday this happened. . . . .

Yep, that’s my new Iphone  **#@$#@ !  And YES I did cuss just a bit (okay a lot) when I realized that while racking up and burning leaves yesterday my cell phone dropped out of my jacket pocket and into the fire.  I didn’t realize it for a while until I wanted to take a picture of girls (hens) helping me in the garden.  Thank goodness I had insurance on it and I am getting a replacement for the price of the deductible. But in the mean time I feel a bit helpless without it.  Just know for the next couple of days to reach me you will need to e-mail me or text me.

Now about today’s project, I needed to create something serene, to bring some peace back into my life.   Although it will be more quite around here without my phone ringing, lol.

I created the background on this piece so don’t think it is Designer Series Paper and ask me what pack it is in, lol.  I also added some Basic Pearls to this project which work great as bubbles.

Moose in the Wild – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello there,

I created a card today that would be perfect for the outdoors man.  I love ribbon and bows on cards but there is no place for such things on this card.  Instead I reached for the thick Baker’s twine which is perfect for a rugged card such as this.  I had plenty of space at the top of main image panel so the very popular chevrons made their way onto this card also.  I love this combo.  What do you think?

Hello there,

Boy oh Boy am I struggling today.  I just got a new computer with a different operating system and it is kicking my rear!  I know I will get use to it as I learn it but, right now every little thing I use to do in a flash is taking me forever to figure out.  So with that being said, please forgive me any errors you may see in my posts for a while, lol.

The fun part of my morning was creating today’s card.  I love the emboss resist technique to give some depth in my scenes and I used that technique today.  I also use some distressing and dry embossing to give this card a lot of texture.  I broke out my neglected Autumn Accents Die to create my embellishment.  Why is it that I only think of leaves in the Fall?  They are around most of the year.

Hello there,

Whew! It finally warmed up to 50 degrees yesterday and melted the last of the snow.  I worked in the chicken coop getting some much needed cleaning done after the girls were cooped up for a week.  While I cleaned, the girls got to peck around the yard.  They were some happy chickens.

I’m excited about the warmer weather but I did notice the Robins weren’t back yet.  I wonder if they know the cold Winter weather is not over yet, hmmm.  I better hold off on getting my gardening rolling.

Since birds of all kinds were on my mind I decided to do a serene bird card today.  This project has layering of color, texture and images.  I hope you like it.
