Today I wanted to create a card that had the beautiful snowflake from the Holly Jolly Greetings Stamp Set, item #139882 right up front in my scene. Added some trees and wind in the background and I created depth in the scene that really made those snowflakes come to life. 🙂

Grateful Cardinal – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello there,

Today I combine a few terrific stamp sets to create this Fallish cardinal card. It’s easy to get hung up using only the stamps that come in a set but it is so fun to look outside that set and into our stash of stamps to pull different elements into your scene. The sets I choose today work beautifully together, don’t you think?

On another note, the sentiment on this card could easily be changed to create a sympathy, birthday or a thank you card. 🙂 Oh how I love multi purpose cards like this!

Old Crow Halloween – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello there,

I must confess, I love the sights, sounds and colors of Halloween. Also, there is something really fun about making a wicked looking card. I guess because it is so different than the normal cards we create that makes it so fun.

There is a lot of depth in this card that just doesn’t show up in pictures. This is actually a six layer card, holy mackrel! I must have lost my mind, har har, that has been gone a while now, lol. I think the layering was well worth it.

Today’s card features the Witches’ Night Photopolymer Stamp set which has great images that can be pulled out of the larger stamps and popped up or used alone. We can’t forget the treats! This set also includes super great labels for treat bags and boxes and coordinates with the Lots of Labels Framelit Dies for quick work of cutting them out.
