This morning I got up in the mood to make a scene, literally.  I hope you like it.  I used the Stampin’ Up! Lovely as a Tree stamp set.  This set is my go to set when I need a tree for a scene.  It has been in the Stampin’ Up! catalog for quite a few years and every year I hold my breath when the retired list comes out.  It’s such a great set, I hope it never retires. Hello There,

It is a Winter wonderland outside my stamp room window this morning.  It put me in the mood though to create a bit of a warmer scene with some flowers in the foreground and a mountain in the distance reflecting on calm waters.  It does warm a person up to think of a warmer place. For all you hen lovers out there, no worries, my girls are all tucked away in their nice warm, dry coop with smiles on their little chicken faces.

Now today’s peaceful card could be used for many, many different occasions.

Valentine’s Day will be here before we know it, so I created a heart card this morning using the brand new Stampin’ Up! background stamp Hardwood (133035).   I paired it up with a couple of other stamp sets, Hearts a Flutter and Flowering Flourishes, sorry, I just can’t help myself.

Woohoo!  Today Stampin’ Up’s brand new Occasions Catalog is revealed.  Once again they have come out with some great up to date stamps and accessories.  I for one had to buy it all! Yikes, don’t tell Russ, lol.

Goose Reflection – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello There,

Well the new year is a time for reflection, right?  LOL    I did my reflection on card stock instead.  This Goose from the Stampin’ Up! Wetlands set is a perfect image to create a reflection scene with.  It has nice bold outlines which make it a breeze to transfer the reflection portion of the scene.  This was one of my favorite sets to work with in 2013 and right into 2014.  I believe this is my 5th card that I posted using the Wetlands set. So I have been getting my money’s worth out of it for sure.

Well, Russ and I went to our last Christmas party of the year last night.  We have been to a few so we have been celebrating Christmas for a couple of weeks now.  With the Christmas holiday over my mind says “what’s next”.  Valentine’s Day is one thing that is next so this morning I sat down with the brand new Stampin’ Up! Follow My Heart stamp set and created this card.  I did pair the Follow My Heart set up with the Stampin’ Up! Creative Elements set and I think it turned out lovely.  I’ll be teaching this card in my January 4th card class “Love is in the Air”.  All the cards in this class are about love.  I’m so excited.  What greater topic could we focus on.  If you are in the area (West Alexandria, OH), check out my class schedule.

Hello There,

I decided to do a little ink smearing this morning so I created this project using the direct to paper technique.  The stamp sets featured in this project are the Stampin’ Up! sets Wetlands and Gorgeous Grunge.  I also did a twist on the using the Chevron Border Punch.  🙂

Hello there,
Are you ready to celebrate and ring in the new year?  I find it hard to think of New Years when Christmas is just a few short days away, but if I wait until after Christmas to create my New Years cards, guess what, they don’t get done.  I made this card so it can be used for a couple different occasions.  I would feel great giving this for an anniversary or wedding also.
