Mmmmm, strawberries!   I have a small strawberry patch and fresh strawberries are something I look forward to every Spring.  So, making this card this morning is making my mouth water for that taste fruit.  Nothing like picking warm berries and popping them in your mouth right there in the garden.

The strawberry image is just one of the two step fruits you will find in the Stampin’ Up! Fresh Fruit stamp set.   This multi step stamp set makes it so easy to stamp tasty looking fruit for your cards.  Strawberries for Spring, Peaches for Summer and Pears for Autumn.  Great value to have a stamp set that will take you through 3 seasons.

High Tide Lighthouse – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello there,

Who doesn’t love lighthouses?   For one, I think a lighthouse card can certainly be unisex.  It can be used for many occasions too.  This particular lighthouse image from the High Tide stamp set is fun to play with since it is a two step stamp, which makes it so very easy to have the image multi colored with shadowed areas with little effort.

 I teamed it up with the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set, which is a super easy stamp set to created a field of flowers with.

Hello there,

I’m creating with the Beautiful You Stamp set from Stampin’ Up! this morning.  I used Basic Black and Basic Gray together to highlight the hand drawn look of this image.  Then added that pop of Real Red for an eye catching accent, fabulous!

I used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set to bring the rainy look into this scene.  It worked out just how I expected, which is very rare, lol.

Ever have a project stuck in your head and you just cannot find the right Designer Series paper to use to get the job done.  Well, that happened to me this morning.  So, I decided to pull out an oldie but goodie technique and created my own background paper.  Making your own background paper is so wonderful because you control all the colors that you put into it.  Then you don’t have to adjust your project to fit the background paper you make the background paper to fit your design.  It’s very freeing.

Pears – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello there,

Let’s take a solid pear shaped stamp and make some realistic looking pears out of it.  I teamed up the Stampin’ Up! Apple of My Eye stamp set with the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set to create this effect with some layered color.

I created my pears with spots because I grow pears here and know they come with speckles all over them.  I hope this project inspires you to get inky today.

Marlin – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello there,

Well this is a bit of a masculine card.  I had some fun with this scene by adding a water spray coming off of the marlin.  Also gave my main image panel the royal treatment by used Elegant Eggplant and Smoky Slate background panels and a lovely silver silk ribbon bow.

There are some really great masculine images in the From Land to Sea Stamp Set.
