It’s a little strange the way my mind works, We are suppose to get our first snow fall this morning here in my area of Ohio and what am I stamping? That’s right, a beach scene, lol. Well, I know it is warm even hot in a lot of locations throughout the world, I guess I’m wishing I was there with my toes in the sand. If you are in a cold region like me, we can at least think and stamp warm thoughts.

Today’s main image comes from another rocking nature stamp set, Picture Perfect, item 140520. This realistic stamp set has two and even three step stamp images for super easy coloring of those images.

Sunset Love – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello there,

Things have settled down around here from all the holiday fun. Russ went back to work this morning after having a week off. Not sure why but, I always have trouble getting things done when he is at home. I guess because he is on vacation I think I should be too. Also, when he is home I feel like everyday is Sunday and I totally lose track of what day of the week it is, crazy.

Anyway, I am happily back in my studio stamping away. I couldn’t resist using a few new products that will be out TOMORROW!!! That’s right, tomorrow the new Occasions catalog goes live and it is also the start of our yearly Sale-a-bration event where you earn free products for every $50 of merchandise you purchase. I die cut it out of the beautiful new Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper, item #140550. Many, many Valentine cards will include this paper this year, it is stunning.

Shimmering Path – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello there,

It’s so frustrating when you add shimmer to a project and then it doesn’t show up in the pictures you take, good grief Charlie Brown! So, I’m asking you to use your imagination a bit today. The moon and the path are both aglow with shimmer because I used the Clear, Wink of Stella Brush on the path and moon. Be sure to add this to your list when placing your order from the new Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog that will go live on January 5th. It’s a must have!

I love the scene without the shimmer as well, but when you add it, it’s magical in real life and that brush is so easy to use. Your shimmer goes right were you want it without messy glues etc. LOVE IT!

A lot of times I am inspired by landscapes I see, people I know or in this case a friend, Lydia Fiedler’s two furry friends. These two cats, I’m sure never get to go outside but I put them out there anyway in the snow which they never get to see in Austin, TX. I think they need to visit me in Ohio so they can really do this. 🙂 What do you say Lydia?

Dramatic Panels Winter Scene – Stampin’ Up! Card

Hello there,

Today’s project shows how you can add a bit more interest to a scene by cutting it up into panels. It can be a little bit scary when you take the paper cutter to it but when you put it on a contrasting panel it all comes together again only with a lot more interest. I left all the embellishments off of this card to let the scene really steal the show. The background I created really pops against that black.

I have my Christmas tree up, decorated, and all of my Christmas shopping is complete. I feel like I’m a little ahead of the game this year. My dear friend Claire told me it’s not a good thing to have my shopping done so early because I will end up spending more because I will keep adding on gifts, I think she is probably right?
