Embossed Earthen Textures Card

Hello Stamping friends,

I’m playing with one of my favorite Stampin’ Up! stamp sets today, Earthen Textures, along with a fun and very simple embossing folder technique.  This technique gives the appearance of the top panel being embedded into the lower one to create a lovely scene.  I left off all of the bling and do dads and just let the scene shine for this thank you card.  But as always you can dress your card up as much as you would like.

Hello Stamping Friends,

I find silhouette scenes fun to make, especially if I don’t feel like figuring out what colors to use on my main images.  I’m lazy like that sometimes, lol.  Just keeping it real!  So, today I made the ducks from the Feathered Flight stamp set, 162726,  very dark so they would pop in the sky, super simple.  I also geared the layout  towards the masculine side and kept if very simple with no frills.

Whoo Wee, I love this new die cut from the brand new Delicate Forest Bundle. This arching trees die is so perfect to frame out so many different scenes. My mind is just racing with ideas to use it with. I also love the images from the Delicate Forest Stamp Set. Silhouette stamps are always among my favorites because you can use them in your scenes and don’t need to worry about coloring them, just stamp them in black. This makes for quick cards!

Color can sure make a statement on your cards. Especially, bright colors. They are eye catching, very cheerful and fun. I sure brought the color on today’s card and used the new Hot Air Balloon Bundle from Stampin’ Up! This bundle lets you create so many different hot air balloons and in different sizes. The different sizes in this bundle helps when you are creating a scene with depth. You can use the smaller balloons in your background and then add the larger balloon in the foreground. Today, I focused on the heart shaped balloon. I made this card a birthday card but you can use this heart shaped balloon for a wedding, anniversary or valentines cards as well.

I’ve got a nature card for you today. For this one I’m using the brand new Inspirational Sketches stamp set, out of the new Spring Mini Catalog from Stampin’ Up! In my free video today you will see just how easy it is to put in this abstract background for this sweet sparrow. I’m using the color Wild Wheat for this card too. If you haven’t played with the Stampin’ Up! Color, Wild Wheat yet, you will find it is a lovely neutral color and one you will want to grab over and over when creating.
