Moo Cards ROCK!

I had so much fun making my sample Moo Cards for Innovative Stamp Creations Moo Card Challenge (see challenge details below).  Moo Cards are all the rage right now.  Moo cards are like Artist trading cards but measure 1 1/8″ x 2 3/4″.    These little cards are addictive.  At first, I was fretting about the small area I had to work with on the cards.  I’m a big scene type stamper if you hadn’t noticed, lol.  But once I got started I didn’t want to quit.  I even altered a tin for my moo cards to reside in.   You can even make magnets out of these cards and give them as a special gift.

I was first introduced to Moo Cards at an Art & Soul Retreat I attended back in May.  I was so amazed at all of the creative variations people could achieve on such a little area.   People were trading them like crazy and there I was not even knowing what a Moo card was.  I apparently live a sheltered life here in my little stamp room, lol.  Did you all know about these cards?  Have you made any?

    I’m with you. Never heard of them. Have now! I can see the fasination with them. Will have to give it a try. I’m amazed how you can even put a beautiful scene on these small pieces. Do did it.

    I must be living under a rock because I never heard of a Moo either -unless you’re referring to the sound a cow makes! LOL What do the letters M-O-O stand for anyway? Perhaps I need to get out of my stamping room more often?!

    There must be a lot of us who live under the same rock because I haven’t heard of moo cards either. Like Veee I was thinking cards with cows. I would like to know where the “moo” name came from too. All your creations are beautiful and your moo cards are no exception.

    What is with all this tiny stuff? Don’t they know as we age we need things bigger?? LOL… these are pretty and very neat. I’d heard of “inchies”, but not MOO cards. What does it stand for?

    LOL, Michelle! Don’t worry about the size…you can make anything look like a big canvas! I had heard of “Moo” cards over on Gingerwood, but I’ve never played with them. Actually I like these better than ATCs, if only because these can be mounted inside the glass microscope slides (isn’t there a real term for these? Can’t think of it!) and made into jewelry. These are beautiful!

    I spend more time looking at blogs than I would like to admit and I had never heard of them either. But I love yours. Stunning and that tin is to die for! I won’t ask for a tutorial because you are already so generous and fabulous but I do have one question. Did you make it on paper and then affix it to the tin or did you stamp directly onto the tin? thanks

    So tiny and adorable. Less canvas to cover = less time invested! Yeah, right – I doubt that. 😀 I can spend hours and hours on one card and still be unhappy with its perceived imperfections; then sometimes I can finish a card in less than one hour and love it. Go figure…

    These are really cool and you’ve done such a great job!
    Hey – I went all around looking for the palette ink today and guess what – no dice 😦 I can’t believe I can’t find it. The only place I didn’t get to was Hobby Lobby and that is only because they were closed. So tomorro I will brave Hobby Lobby with my children who I’m sure will be delighted (NOT) to go there. Anyway, thanks for your advice earlier. I am on a mission now to find some palette ink.

    Goegeous- I think we may need a tutorial on how you did the tin Michelle! How did you attach that goegeous artwork to the tin??? What beautiful little artwork- I have never heard of these either. I just cut a piece of CS- these are little!!! Not an easy task!!! Thanks again for sharing your beautiful artwork!

    Michelle – been on vacation for a week and somehow my laptop ended up staying home under the dining room table – UGH. Anyhow, I couldn’t wait to look at the creations I missed last week. I was not disappointed! As usual, your artwork amazed me. You are definitely my inspiration. I’m busy making swaps for Stampin’ Up! convention right now, but when I get home, I’m definitely going to try some of your techiques. Keep inspiring us!
