Katzelkraft Bird in Water – Tutorial #152 And New Blog Candy!

dsc06941.JPG

Well hello there everyone!  I’ve been away tooooo long from my stamping room.  A lot has been going on with holiday preparation.

For the Thanksgiving Holiday my small family gets together at our house for the feast.  I still have half of the feast in the frig that needs eaten.  (Just slap it on my thighs, that’s where it is going anyway, lol)    We are not fancy people, this is my table setting for the occasion.  🙂

dsc06906.JPG  dsc06908.JPG

I have to show you the two beast that were underfoot in the kitchen the whole day.  These two both weigh over 100 lbs each.  Abby the Lab and Lucas the German Short Haired Pointer/Great Dane mix.  Both of these babies came from a local shelter after our beloved German Shepherd passed about 5 years ago.   I encourage everyone to adopt their pets and spay and neuter them.  🙂  Sorry, had to throw that in there, it’s too important.

Yesterday was spent, CHRISTMAS SHOPPING!!!!!  After Shopping we started putting up the Christmas lights on the outside of the house.  This is the progress we made before dark.  I then completely passed out on the couch, lol.  I hope those who celebrate Thanksgiving had one filled with the love and Joy of Family and Friends.

  1. Thanks for remembering the 4-legged friends in this post. We went to my mom’s for Thanksgiving…with our 3 dogs. She has 2, so we had 5 dogs underfoot for the occasion…we all had a great time! Please enter me for the blog candy. The stamps are awesome, but of course, you turned them into art. I love all your work.

Ok, so everyday I’m checking your site, and wondering where you are, and hoping all is well. I was very glad to hear that you were taking some well deserved time off to celebrate Thanksgiving and shopping! Your card is gorgeous again. Every time I look at one of you tutorials it makes me want to go out and buy it and try it! Maybe, just maybe, this time I can win a set and try it! Anyway, thanks so much for the chance.

Well, you’ve done it again! Another gorgeous nature scene…with bird stamps, no less. I just finished using my bird die to make a card. Would love these stamps. Seems that everyone is adopting pets. That is so wonderful. I am sharing an adopted cat with my mom. Well, not really adopted, we just kept working at it until we won this cat over. It was in the wild and now we are graced with its loving presence every day. My mom lives across the highway and the cat visits us both. Happy to share.

I have a total of 6 animals and all of them are from the local shelter. I would take more if I could — but it’s just hard with one person to care for them all !! Just like I love my pups — I too love what you do with a brayer. I read each post so carefully and think I’ve got to try this soon…..Thanks for the blog candy ! and Happy Thanksgiving and have a blessed Christmas season this year !!

Michelle, your cards are fabulous. I wish I lived near you so I could take advantage of your classes. I do save quite a few of your tutorials, actually most of them. The sheet of birds is a beautiful selection of our feathered friends. I would be so lucky if I were to win but, if not, I will probably order the sheet. Thanks for your inspiration!

Birds? Did I hear someone say ‘birds?’ 😀 Love the card and love the stamps. Also love the lights on the house and fence. Our small town is offering “The Griswold Award” for best decorated house. I so want to win, but my husband says ‘no way,’ we couldn’t afford everything I would want to do. LOL.

I love hearing about Thanksgiving as it is such a diferrent concept to me living in Australia. However I can relate to the dogs underfoot in the kitchen, as my 2 big and one small do the same (and then throw in the husband).
Thanks for the great blog as I love seeing more things for masking and brayering as it makes me use it more. Just wish I could do one of your classes.
