I was in Phoenix, AZ at the end of last week and returned home to Ohio on Saturday and was greeted with quite a bit of snow and cold weather. That along with the new Stampin’ Up! Sale-a-Bration set Good Neighbors inspired this card. I made this a window scene because I plan on viewing the snow at my house from the inside. 🙂 You can get the Good Neighbors set for free with a $50 purchase of Stampin’ Up Products during Sale-a-Bration.

On a 3″ x 7″ piece of Whisper White card stock, stamped the houses by first loading the stamp with Versamark and then with the ink before stamping. The left house was stamped with Versamark and Ruby Red ink and the right house was stamped with Versamark and Brilliant Blue ink.
Stamped the roofs on the houses by loading the stamps with Versamark and Basic Black ink before stamping them.
Heat embossed the images using clear embossing powder and a heat gun.
Colored the doors in with Pretty in Pink and Bashful Blue markers.
Colored the chimneys in with Sahara Sand marker and the windows in with Apricot Appeal marker.
Colored over both houses with Versamark marker and heat embossed the images using clear embossing powder and a heat gun.
Drew a couple of smoke swirls coming from the Chimneys with the Versamark marker. Heat embossed them with clear embossing powder and a heat gun.
Cut a hill shape in a scrap piece of card stock using a Stampin’ Up Hobby Blade and Glass Mat.
Put the card stock mask over the bottom of the card stock and held it in place with my hand as I brayered on Not Quite Navy in the sky area.
Took the card stock mask and flipped it over and moved it down. Sponged Not Quite Navy at the bottom of the snow hill leaving a bit of the white card stock showing through at the top of the hill.
Sponged Night of Navy at the mask edge (bottom of hill).
Removed card stock mask and sponged Not Quite Navy ink a the bottom of the card stock, leaving a bit of white showing at the top of the bottom hill.
Sponge a bit of Night of Navy ink at the bottom of the card stock.
Added little dots in the snow with a Not Quite Navy marker to create foot prints.
Added dots in the sky with a White Gel Pen.
Layered the main image panel with a Sahara Sand panel and a Whisper White Panel. Added a strip of Whisper white to the middle of the main image panel.
Drew a lines from the main image panel corners to the Whisper White panel corners with a Sahara Sand marker. Also traced a line on each side of the Whisper White Strip in the middle of the main image panel with the Sahara Sand marker.
Added a Bashful Blue panel and two gold brads.
Here is the complete card measuring 4″ x 8″.
