Farewell Feathered Friend

ivoryeye2.jpg

Sorry folks, no tutorial today.  I am in mourning do to the loss of my beloved Parakeet Pheobe.   She passed last night for no apparent reason.  Her mate, Marley is singing a very sad tune today.  😦

My heart is a bit broken and when that happens I need to spend some time being physical, so I will be spending the day swabbing the decks around here.  My heart just isn’t into stamping at the moment.

I will be back soon with a tutorial for you.

Hugs,

Michelle

Michelle, I’m so sorry to hear about your loss. It’s very difficult to lose a beloved member of the family, especially when it’s so unexpected. I’ve been there myself many times and am dreading a day that’s coming all too soon when I’ll be there again. It’s especially sad for Marley because there are few ways to sooth her sorrow. God bless you, Pheobe, Marley, and your family.

  4. I’m so sorry for your loss! My cat passed away a few months ago and my other cat is still up all night searching for her. I hope you will give Marley lots of strokes from me and Kit! And know that all your fans will be here when you get back into stamping, but there is no pressure. Take time for yourself right now.

What a sad thing to wake up to. I never had birds because my house gets too hot in the summer and way too cold in the winter but I absolutely adore them and I can sit for hours watching them in my bird bath or just fluttering around a tree or flower. They are so precious and they seem to know who they are safe around.

And what a loss for Marley, I feel so bad for him as well. He will surely grieve for some time to come and I send him my love as well. I don’t know what else to say but to let you know that I cry for you loss too and as if Phoebe were my own. Michelle, it is so nice that you told us and shared her picture with us, she is such a beautiful bird with such lovely shades of blue in her pure white feathers.

God bless you Michelle for giving Phoebe a wonderful life with you and Marley. I’m glad you were home to be with her on her final day, the day God needed her in heaven with him.

When you are up to it maybe you can share some more pictures as well as those wonderful exciting things that Phoebe has done thru the time you became her “mom”. I know others would love to hear them too.

Michelle, may God continue to Bless You, Marley and your family.

    Margaret

I am so sorry about your feathered friend. I am a pet lover and know that they do not live long lives, They bring so much love and so many laughs and smiles. When you have two birds that have been together the one left really does mourn. Spend extra time with him and you both will feel better soon….

I am so sorry Michelle. The loss of a pet can be as hard as the loss of a human friend. You take as much time as you need to until you feel like getting back into your regular routine. Grief has it’s own timetable and unfortunately we cannot go around grief…we can only go through it. My heart goes out to you and Marley too!

Michelle: I just said a prayer for you and one for beautiful Phoebe. I is so sad when we loose one of our beloved pets. I know what you feel as I had parakeets when I was going up in CT. When I lost Marcee, my beloved half siamese feline I thought my world was going to end.
We become so attached to our pets..especially when they respond to our love and affection. Take your time to grieve. When a pet becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.
Wishing you hope in the midst of sorrow.

Sorry to hear that. She looks very much like our parakeet Katie, who only lived about a month. Then we got Brutus, who also looked like Phoebe, but he was with us for several years & we had a lot of fun with him.

Pets mean a lot to people & I know you will miss her a lot. May your treasured memories bring you comfort.

Deepest condolences on your loss. I for one would love to see and hear about Phoebes life with you, and what makes her special. This is a difficult time and don’t insult yourself (or Phoebe) by thinking you’ll “get over it”. We don’t get over these things…we get through them. ((hugs))
