Farewell Feathered Friend

ivoryeye2.jpg

Sorry folks, no tutorial today.  I am in mourning do to the loss of my beloved Parakeet Pheobe.   She passed last night for no apparent reason.  Her mate, Marley is singing a very sad tune today.  😦

My heart is a bit broken and when that happens I need to spend some time being physical, so I will be spending the day swabbing the decks around here.  My heart just isn’t into stamping at the moment.

I will be back soon with a tutorial for you.

Hugs,

Michelle

Sp sorry about you baby. A few years ago I lost Sunshine, one of my parakeets early one morning from unknown causes. We buried him and sadly went on with our day. That night we went to dinner, and to my horror my husband had left the door open from the kitchen to the garage and our Rottweiler got into the house, and knocked over the cage with the remaining sweet parakeet Angel. Though the dog did only want to play, I am sure poor Angel died of a heart attack from this furry beast only wanting to play. So I know how you feel. Our pets our are feather, furred, scaled. and finned babies. Love and prayers!

  13. I believe that when I cross over into Heaven, all my wonderful critters will be there to welcome me. I will hear all the chirps, meows, and barking that I was so familiar with when they were with me. I can’t wait for that moment of lots of puppy kisses, kitty purrs, birdy songs singing their familiar tunes. Phoebe is in a new place enjoying perfect freedom with an abundance of trees, favorite fruits and nuts, and lots of birdy companions…until you arrive.

  14. Michelle,
So sorry to hear about your feathered friend. I am a bird lover too and have a male parakeet named homer. I hope you feel better soon. I went away on vacation when my last bird died. My son was taking care of him while I was gone. He was mortified when he died. My husband froze the bird and went to a million stores trying to find one to replace him. He couldn’t find one that looked the same so had to bite the bullet and tell me the bad news on the way back from the airport. Just picturing him carrying the dead bird to each store amused me. I am much better now that I have my new one I picked myself.

I am so,so sorry about your beloved friend, I truly know how you feel. When I lost my first unbrella Cockatoo, Cirrus I mourned for 6 months or more and I still miss her That was approximately 7 years ago just before Easter. Zeek our African Gray still calls for her…they grew up together. They would swing togher, he refuses to get on the swing so we had to take it out of his play pin (the big cage he stays in during the day.

I truly feel you pain and loss, so I send my hugs and kisses to you!!

Michelle I am so sorry your beloved Parakeet Pheobe died. I know that you and Marley are both heart broken. Pets are very special family members and their loss is painful and difficult to accept. Hopefully the love and support of your family, friends, and blog followers will help you through this difficult time.

I lost my beloved black Cocker Spaniel, Sugar Bear, to cancer five years ago. She was my devoted companion for thirteen wonderful years. I still miss her every day. Our memories keep our loved ones alive in our hearts and give their lives meaning. One day you will be able to think of your beloved Pheobe and smile.
