Congratulations Wild Boy!

This is my youngest Son, Mitch.  He is my wild child and the graffiti artist in the family.  Mitch is the TRUE ARTIST around here.  When he was in high school and very much into graffiti I was sure that I was going to have to pay to have a train, building, bridge,  etc. painted, lol.  He always tried to reassure me that he was doing his art work in public places that allowed graffiti art, uhuh, lol, I was not born yesterday.  We won’t even mention the tatoos and piercings he has shocked me with.  🙂

Since Mitch is my wild child and free spirit, I was totally shocked to hear that he had selected law enforcement as a career choice.   I have always been very proud of my both of my sons.  Today I am extra proud of my youngest, wild child, Mitch who will graduate from the Criminal Justice Training Academy this evening.

Woohoo Wild Boy!  You made it!!!!

My heart is overflowing with pride.  🙂  Please join me in congratulating him.

Hugs,

Michelle

  6. Congrats to you Mitch and to you Mom for doing such a fine job. We always worry about how our kids will turn out. We do the best we can and pray for the best. It must be something about the youngest being the wildest because my youngest is the same way. Three tattoos already and she’s a girl Michelle! Maybe it’s our generation that has a hard time dealing with the body decor of today!!!!

Congratulations Mickey and Mitch! As a wife of a police officer for the last 30 years I know you will have some fun, gross and sad stories to tell over the years. Keep it light hearted and don’t take too much of it personally. I know lots of “wild child” Cops and they are the glue that keeps the whole department together. Good Luck!

Congratulations Michelle and Mitch! “Never judge a book by it’s cover.” Hopefully our children will never cease to surprise and amaze us. We have four grown sons, all completely different in personality and career goals. All of them have good hearts and compassion for others. We are equally proud of each of them. Congratulations again – what a proud day for both of you!

Michelle said: “When he was in high school and very much into graffiti I was sure that I was going to have to pay to have a train, building, bridge, etc. painted, lol.”

Will you still lol (laugh out loud) when he arrests one of your friend’s or acquaintances kids for graffiti on trains, buildings, bridges, etc?

Would you lol if you were the one who woke up to 205 feet of BRAND NEW 6 ft high wood fencing, facing the busy public street, and completely full of graffiti from top to bottom with no spot left uncovered and defaced so badly AND YOU were the one who had to assume the responsibility of getting it covered immediately per city codes and YOU are a DISABLED PERSON?

Well it cost ME, that disabled person, dearly, painting labor at $325, replacement of some 20 or so boards at $3.89 each plus tax and labor, 9 gallons of paint at $21.99 each plus tax and raw wood that soaks up paint as if it was free and then needs several coats to cover the graffiti and I just paid $1,800 to have it installed….

Remember….. you can’t fight city hall.

Oh, and consider yourself lucky that he did find some great interest other than graffiti other’s property the rest of his life. I’m sure he knows first hand how to catch a graffiti artist in the act. Maybe he WILL contribute his time and knowledge to catching and prosecuting them and helping those of us who do not lol because we have to endure the expense of unwanted graffiti on our property.

Michelle, I’m so happy for you and your son about his accomplishment!! Having a 25 year old son who gave me no less than 300 heart attacks throughout his teen and young adult years, I can appreciate the pride you must feel knowing that he’s going to be okay!! LOL!! My son has also managed to make me very proud over the past few years and is working off those heart attacks bit by bit! Congrats to Mitch and to you for a job well done! PS….I know all about those piercings and tats…Rob has plenty!!
