Along the Way to Iowa

Happy Friday Everyone!  So sorry, no stamping tutorial today.   If I ever figure out how to drive and stamp. . . . . .lol.  Boy, that sounds really dangerous.

Anyway, I am in Grinnell, Iowa this weekend to teach my brayer workshops.  I have to say “I LOVE MY JOB”.

Drove over today.  From Ohio I had to drive through Indiana, Illinois and then into Iowa.  To stretch my legs this morning I stopped at Lake of the Woods Forest Preserve in Mahomet, Illinois.  It was a very pretty place so early in the morning.  This is what I saw.  🙂

I love to take photos of light hitting foliage when it is all covered with dew.

I caught these beautiful Doe out with their fawns.  I must have taken 100 photos of them.  They just kept letting me get closer and closer.   Finally, enough was enough and they sprinted.

How about this cute little guy or gal.  🙂

More scenery.

This is what happens when I get bored driving.  🙂   I take pics of my rear view mirrors.

Thank you for suffering though some of my travel pictures, lol.

Until my next post. . . . .

Hugs,

Michelle

  1. Trust me, I did not “suffer” looking at these photos. Beautiful shots Michelle. These would look awesome blown up for a calendar! I so wish I could stamp like you, and now I wish I could take pictures like you!! Some people have all the talent — but aren’t we the lucky ones who get to enjoy yours!! Thanks so much.

I love those pictures. The single doe is my fav. I love to go tromping through the snow when it is fresh and the ground is covered. One of my favs was a weed that had fingers and it formed a little cup. The snow in that was beautiful. Nature pics are the best. How is DH getting along?

  6. Hi Michelle, Thanks for sharing those pics. I was on that same route in July and had hoped that I would be near one of your workshops during that time . Hopefully next year I have more luck.
