My Mother’s Passing

Hi there, you are probably wondering why I have been absent from my blog for a while.  Well my Mother, Jeannette passed away at the very young age of 68.  I have been spending all of my time with her in her last days and now I will be taking care of her estate and making funeral arrangements.

My mother passed from a smoking related illness, please, please if you smoke, STOP NOW!  If not for yourself then for your family.

Thanks to everyone who has been keeping my family in thier thoughts.  I will resume my blog posts when I get my life back to normal.  Hang in there, I have not forgotten you.  🙂

Huge Hugs,

Michelle

Honey, I am so sorry. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Sending you hugs. I lost my Father at the age of 59 due to a three pack a day habit. I was only sixteen at the time of his death. Your not alone and we are all here for you.

Good morning Michelle. I’m so sorry to hear about your mother. Thank God you were able to be there for her and the family. One of His great gifts to us is our memories. She will always be with you. May you continue to lean on Him and receive His love and support at this time … especially withall the other things going on in your life … I trust Russ is getting better and better. God bless you and yours.

I have been a silent admirer of your blog and amazing talent and most of all your generosity to share your talent with such detailed tutorials. My deepest sympathy for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. Please take time to heal and return to blogging later since that can really wait (even though I will miss your awesome tuts!). Take care.

My prayers are with you. I lost my father last fall. He was 87. Even if you know your parent is passing soon, when it happens it is still a surprise. My mom turned 88 yesterday and it pleases me so. Every day I have with her is precious time. I hope you can see that the time you spent with her was precious time.

I read your message to my grown children. Their father passed because of smoking. I quit smoking only 8 months ago. I stopped for me and for my children. I did not think it was possible to quit. Anyone can quit IF they really want to.

Thank you for your pointed message to all of us.

Once again, I am so sorry your mother passed. Please take good care of yourself. All in your blog are thinking of you.

    Hugs Judy (Oregon)

Michelle, unfortunately I know what you are talking about concerning smoking. I have been at the hospital for the last 5 days with my dad who has pneumonia which was complicated by his emphysema which he has as a result of smoking. He did stop smoking when I was 16 (36 years ago), but the damage was done. I am so sorry your mom died, but I am glad you were able to spend time with her before she passed away.

Verry sorry to hear you’ve lost your mother and she was so young! Take care and give yourself the time to heal the pain, it’s gonna betaken a long time before it’s all gettin’ a place in your life, but believe me take your time for it because if you don’t it’s not good for the healing. Her place could never be filled with anyone or anything so please take care of yourself!
Maybe my words are not so good because it’s not my language but I mean it all very good with you!

  19. Michelle,

I have marveled at your talent and beautiful works of art for more than two years. I’ve also marveled at how generous you are with sharing your tutorials and all the time that takes to do them. I now marvel at you personally. Even though you have suffered the devastating loss of your Mother, you still took the time to plead with people to stop smoking. I even marveled at how you told all of us to “hang in there”.

You are certainly remarkable in many ways. Today, not only do I send my heartfelt condolences for your loss, I also send this comment to let you know how very deep my admiration is for you as a human being.

Take good care of yourself. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

    Best, Curt O’Brien

Oh, Michelle I am so sorry for you and all of your family. I am glad you have been able to pass the last days together with her, so you have had the possibility to say goodbye and let her know all you still wanted to say. Ofcourse it is horrible but when someone you love dies unexpectedly you cannot say goodbye anymore……. Please take your time and do not worry about us, we will wait for you. All the best in these sorrowful days. Love, Lucy
