My Mother’s Passing

Hi there, you are probably wondering why I have been absent from my blog for a while.  Well my Mother, Jeannette passed away at the very young age of 68.  I have been spending all of my time with her in her last days and now I will be taking care of her estate and making funeral arrangements.

My mother passed from a smoking related illness, please, please if you smoke, STOP NOW!  If not for yourself then for your family.

Thanks to everyone who has been keeping my family in thier thoughts.  I will resume my blog posts when I get my life back to normal.  Hang in there, I have not forgotten you.  🙂

Huge Hugs,

Michelle

Michelle, I just returned from a trip to Ohio and read about your Mother. I know what a very difficult time this is. I lost my Mom 2 years ago and it still is painful. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Be kind to yourself!

  2. Michelle –

    I’m so sorry.

Every woman on my mother’s side of the family died of emphysema from smoking, so I feel your message. I know your mom is at peace now, and I hope that you can find some peace. She was a gorgeous woman and I’m so grateful she gave you to us 🙂

    Michelle and family,

I’m very sorry for your loss. It’s so very hard to lose a parent. Time will pass and the pain will ease. Just from reading your blog, it’s evident how important your family is to you and what a wonderful daughter you are. There are no regrets and no guilt, just wonderful memories to look back on. God Bless.

Michelle and Family, I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom was way too young. I feel your pain as it is my own experience as well. The pain lessens in time but the absence lives on. I’m thinking of you!!

  6. Michelle and Family,
I am so sorry to see that your Mother passed away. I too lost my Mother 10 years ago next month and it still seems like just yesterday. She was only 62 years young. I feel your pain & heartache as well. All I can say is with time it does get better…but…you never really get over the loss. However, Heavens gain is great and we can rest in knowing we will see them again one day. Thinking of you with love, prayers and hugs…Wanda McGhee

  7. Michelle, I am so sorry. I too have lost my mom this year at the young age of 68 and to lung cancer. It all happened over a course of about 5 days, once we found out she was sick. Mom never came off the resperator and didn’t know she had cancer. I have been helping dad with everything since her passing. I completly know what you are going through and am so sorry. Even though it has been 4 months it is as hard and ever so real as if it was yesterday. I don’t smoke, never smoked and everyone in my family has finally quick smoking now for years. I praise God for that, but hope it is soon enough. Mom didn’t smoke for 15 years and still died from it. Bless you.
