Day of Gratitude – Blog Candy, Oh Yeah Baby!

Hey There, Well I am back from my week in the awesome state of Georgia.    Where I got to spend some time teaching and touring Savannah and Atlanta.   Fun, fun times!

I’m going to show you some pictures I took on my trip, but first I want to give away a great Stampin’ Up! set of Stamps “Day of Gratitude”.   I got so many e-mails/comments from people telling me they wanted this set after I used it in this card, I thought I would give a set away as blog candy.

Not to mention I have been neglecting you, by not being able to post projects during my trip.  So, to enter to win this lovely, lovely set of stamps, please leave a comment telling me to enter you.   If you are receiving this blog update via e-mail you will need to CLICK HERE then leave a comment.  Please no e-mail entries.

I will use a number generator on Friday, October 22, 2010 to select the winner.  Remember, you cannot win if you do not enter.  Good luck everyone!

Now, here are some scenery pictures from my trip.  🙂

I am so very fortunate to get to drive to many of my Brayer Workshop locations.  Getting to see the sights around the United States is one very big perk!

This was taken somewhere between Ohio and Savannah, Georgia, lol.  It was taken through the windshield as I was driving so. .. . . . .

This is my dream home in Savannah all decked out for Autumn.  Love the stunning architecture in this town.  This was not my first trip to Savannah, but I just can’t get enough of it.

One of the fountains in the Squares.  Check out the moss hanging from that oak tree.  Love it!  If you visit Savannah, don’t just take a trolly tour etc., really you must see and walk through some of the squares to get a real feel of what it must be like to live there.

How about some more architecture.

Of course, I had to eat dinner at Paul Deen’s Restaurant, Lady & Sons.  Sorry, this was taken when I left the restaurant at night.  🙂   MMMMM good food!

My second day there I went to Tybee Island.  🙂

I finished my day with this, lol

The next three days were full of fun Brayer Workshops in both Savannah and Atlanta.  Then my drive home yesterday.

I have a really rough job, not!

May your day be filled with fun stuff.

Until my next post. . . . . .

Hugs,

Michelle

Savannah is one of my favorite places, and I hope to live there some day. I used to spend a lot of time on Tybee, and still go out there whenever I’m in Savannah. Please enter me in your drawing.

Beautiful card and beautiful pictures. The USA has some amazing sights to see – all you need is time and money. We did a little bit of traveling to the Great Smoky Mountains a couple of weeks ago and were just thrilled with the beauty of the area; we’re sure to go back, hopefully in the spring when the flowers are blooming. Lots of inspiration.

I ADORE this set! (And my birthday is the 23rd, so it would be very timely and appropriate for the fabulous Mr. Random Number Generator to pick me!) 🙂 Thanks for the awesome opportunity (and your great trip photos!)

I have wanted to go back to Savannah for many years! I was raised in GA, but the only time I was in Savannah was in 1065, before the down town area was renovated! It is on my bucket list of things to do! Thanks for the opportunity to win this gorgeous set! Your card is spectacular!

Would love that Day of Gratitude stamp set. I keep saying “as soon as I get another payday”, but so far no luck. I live about 75 miles south of Savannah and love to go there. It’s my favorite city of any I’ve visited in the states.

Ohhhhhhh I love this set and having been wanting it. Love all the samples I’ve seen done with it and your card is absolutely beautiful. We were stationed in Georgia for 6 1/2 years and we were able to visit Savannah and tour the area, it was so beautiful ~ all the old homes, trees with the moss, etc…..so different from our home state of Oregon. Glad you had a wonderful trip!!

This set is so pretty! I’ve been trying to do this technique with other sets, but can’t quite get the colors right.

I just moved from Savannah to Ohio. Don’t miss the bugs, but miss the feel of the “Ole South.” LOVE PAULA DEEN’S salad dressings!!
Glad you made it back safely.

    Michelle,
Please enter me for a chance to win this amazing set, Day of Gratitude. I’m going to have to try your technique and colors used on the card in this post, they embody all that is fall. I saw a grasshopper that was exactly these colors (the cross between the rusts and the purples) just the other day! What gorgeous photos of GA, a little bit of everything and couldn’t you just craft your heart away with that Spanish Moss. LOL Have a Great Day!
