Getting Lighter And So Is My Wallet

Hi All, This is just a little update on my weight loss journey/change of lifestyle.  🙂

I am now down 26 lbs!  I celebrate each pound lost.    I also think of my weight loss in food/beverages.  For instance, I have taken off more than 5 gallons of milk or 26 pounds of butter.  I feel lighter and more energetic.  I know I have quite a way to go yet, 40 more pounds to be exact, but whose counting, lol.  🙂

Russ is also on this journey with me.  Whether he wants to or not (evil grin).   He has actually lost more than I have.  What’s up with that?  He looses weight faster because he is a man.  I say not fair!     By the way, we are both doing the old Weight Watchers plan at home.

So what is in those 8 large trash bags in the picture, well we cleaned out our closet and we are donating all the clothing that are to big for us.     Yep, I need to go shopping now.  Dang!  (She says with a smile).

I want to thank those of you that have contacted me and congratulated me on my weight loss and cheer those of you on that are on the same journey as we are on.   Cheers!  to a slimmer us.  🙂

May your day be out of this world terrific!

Until my next post. . . . . .  . . . .

Hugs,

Michelle

  11. Congrats!!!! I have done continuous bootcamps last l8 months, love it. I have energy.
I do loose inches but not much weight…..Its rough but I have lots of good habits and keep
a food journal. One downfall, my husband is a chef from the Culinary Institute of America…
Sometimes there is prime rib and tenderloin at my whim…. I do pretty well avoiding sweets and junk food.
    Any tips?

    have a good slim weekend.

CONGRATULATIONS!! You are both glowing with pride, I’m sure. Well deserved! I lost 25 lbs myself about a year ago. Makes you feel great about yourself. I hit the consignment shops … LOTS of things for the money! Happy shopping!

Congratulations!!! Men always lose more weight and faster than we can. I don’t understand why, but they do. I have lost 70 pounds since I was with you in Monroe. 🙂 Now that I have changed my eating habits, I am just not hungry anymore. If I want some M&Ms, I eat say 4-5 so I don’t feel like I am doing without. In the past I have done without and then binged. I have just changed my way of thinking. I have 45 years of extra baggage to get rid of. Now, I would like to get rid of 100 more, but realistically 50 more would probably be alright. You go girl. 🙂 Ya’ll are doing super!!!

A HUGE congratulations to both you and your husband for sticking to your weight loss plan and losing all this weight. I know that as we age (and I have no idea how old you are) it definitely takes longer and is much harder to lose those added pounds. Keep up the good work both on your weight loss and your creativeness.

Wow, that’s a lot of clothes!! Congratulations!! My hubby and I are on the same journey… and yep I knew it wouldn’t be easy as he loses weight faster, but I’m determined. I was a much smaller size just 3 years ago, so I don’t have very many clothes in my present size… I just want to lose weight to get back into clothes I dearly love and have not parted with… I always had hope that I would lose the weight. I tried last year and gave up, but this is the year… NO MATTER WHAT I WILL GET BACK TO MY OLD SELF (AND OLD SIZEI)!!! Thanks for sharing your journey… it helps to know that other succeed. I only started in February… and have lost 9.8 lbs so far… slow and steady and I’m going to win this race!

Congrats on the weight loss! I know the guy thing just kills me. My fiance and I started our weight loss journey back in October, he’s down 70 lbs and I’m half that with another 30 to go. Just stick with it it’s so worth it in the end. Thanks for all the inspiration.

Congratulations on your weight loss! I also love WW – I’ve been a lifelong members for quite awhile. I too still follow the old WW plan — I haven’t switched over to the new one. The old one has worked so well for me and, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!” 😉 I know the new program is wonderful, but but I’m slow when it comes to change! Keep up the good progress on your weight loss journey!

Congratulations Michelle! My hat is off to you! It’s a difficult journey, and when you travel so much, it just makes it harder! I had plans to drop 20 pounds by the time my daughter’s wedding rolled around in mid June, but only managed half that at this time. 10 pounds in 4 months is not a super result, but I will take it and stay positive! Looking forward to seeing you in your new duds next weekend in Portage!

Congrats!!!! I did the same thing as you did and now down 22 lbs in 3 months (5 off my goal)

For me, I see it as 2 X 10 lbs potato bags! So, everytime I do groceries, I pick up one in each hand and tell myself “This girl was ON you”. It amazes me each time
    : I was carrying this extra load…

Continue the great work and remember to reward yourself once a week. 🙂

    Cheers!
