Give Thanks…

… when you have the opportunity to touch someone’s heart and you do it!

Today I stopped by the Rocky Mountain Cancer Center to restock our box of cards.  Boy!  Everyone gets it now and they simply love and appreciate the beautiful cards!  There were only 3 cards left!

I also stopped by the nurse advocate’s office to see how thing’s went with the box I gave her.  She, Nanna Bo, told me that women in the Newly Diagnosed and Young Newly Diagnosed support groups enjoyed the cards very much.  Cards have also been shared with the Lymphedema support group.

All of you, who have donated cards to Project Give Thanks, have touched many, many hearts in so many ways.   At this very moment one of your cards, filled with Thanks, may be on it’s way to a sister who has cared for children so a survivor could recover from surgery or chemo treatments.  Or, one of your cards could be saying “Thanks a Latte” to a dear friend who filled a freezer with meals.  Someone may be receiving word that their loved one has just been diagnosed with cancer and the beauty of the card has made that message a little less upsetting.

My Stamp-artist friends, you were given the opportunity to touch someone’s heart and you did it!

Thank You,

Sonja

Much Love to all of you, XOXOXO

Until my next post, continue to be your beautiful selves.

Thank you for the link to Project Thank You. I have had other things on my mind and haven’t paid much attention the blogs. You might say I was lead to yours today. This project makes me think hard on the goodness of people out there. I have never had cancer but know so many who have. What an idea for them to grasp. Thanking all those involed in their fight. A positive in all the negative they are going through. Thank you so much for opening my eyes and mind to this project.

All chemo pts should be told about Chemo Angels. I have been a card angel for about 5 years and though I only ever hear from a few I know the thanks are many. Contact info at chemoangels.com
They are a wonderful group that helps provide support.

This weekend I am hosting a Project Give Thanks workshop from 9-2:00 on Saturday. So far I have 50 cards being made. I created fliers and posted them around town and advertised at my monthly Stampin Up workshops. I designed 5 simple cards (three breast cancer ones and 2 prostate cancer ones). Each set will cost the cardmaker $5 (which covers the supplies, envelope and postage). It has brought me so much satisfaction to do this and I have even had cancer survivors contact me to thank me.

Thank you, Michelle for sharing this great idea with us. If you would like, I can send you pictures of the cards.
