We’re Home!

Hi All, Russ and I just returned from the Stampin’ Up! Alaska Cruise last night.   It was fabulous!   I just wanted to add a really quick post here before I start dealing with real life again.  I know I haven’t posted in over a week.  I had decided not to take the electronics with us on this vacation.

Unfortunately, our home was hit by a hail storm that was pounding golf ball size hail into our sky lights, siding, grill, boat, all of my gardens etc., etc. while we were gone.  So, I’m off to look at the damage and to start the clean up.  I’ll talk about our trip in a later post and have a new card tutorial for you soon, hang tight.

Have a terrific holiday weekend!

Huge Hugs,

Michelle

I’m so glad you had a real vacation and didn’t worry about posting on your blog. I’m very sorry that you came home to storm damage. I hope you don’t find any major problems and that the clean up is minimal. I look forward to your next tutorial.

  3. oh no! I am so sorry to hear about that!
glad you had fun on the cruise though…. wonderful photos!

we had the hail & storms up here in NE OH as well. the hail was coming in the windows sideways while the rain was so heavy I couldn’t see my barn out back. lightning was hitting all around the house. but we still faired better than those in other parts of the country.

take your time as you do what needs to be done there at home. we will still be here when you are ready! 🙂

  4. gosh–were you cold? Fish? Did you eat them?
What a beautiful place to go.
Sorry about your damage. My husband and our church went to help out in a little of Alabama. spent a week cutting and moving trees out of the way. This is really rough for so many people. here in florida we will start to plan for hurricanes. let’s pray we all have a safe year.

  5. Oh, I’m so sorry that you had storm damage to ruin your return home after such a wonderful trip. We celebrated our 40th Anniversary with a cruise and land trip to Alaska. My best friend is setting sail tomorrow on the same ship we took for the same trip. I loved Alaska and all the wildlife we saw.

You should have been coming home on a high and celebrating happy memories instead of having to dig into repairs!

What a memorable trip! I’m glad to hear you had a good time. Sorry about all the damage your house sustained while you were gone. At least no one was injured. Things can be replaced. I hope you are able to get everything in order soon.
