My Abby Girl

With many tears I had to say goodbye to my sweet, sweet,  Girl Abby today as she passed on.   She will be greatly missed in this family!

TREASURED FRIEND

I lost a treasured friend today
The little dog who used to lay
Her gentle head upon my knee
And shared her silent thoughts with me.

She’ll come no longer to my call
Retrieve no more her favourite ball
A voice far greater than my own
Has called her to his golden throne.

Although my eyes are filled with tears
I thank him for the happy years
He let her spend down here with me
And for her love and loyalty.

When it is time for me to go
And join her there, this much I know
I shall not fear the transient dark
For she will greet me with a bark.

Michelle

My heart goes out to you. I, too, lost my furry baby, Stitch, a Lhasa Apso. What makes it worst is the fact that he was totally healthy until a visit to a vet who punctured his intestine during an exam! We were devastated over the lost. While no other pet can replace the one we lost-we did find a need to have another furry baby, his name is Nikko, a Shih Tzu, and boy do we love him. He has brightened our lives so much! During this time of mourning know that your beloved doggy is waiting over the Rainbow until you meet again.

I am so sorry about the loss of your little girl. We’ve lost two dogs and a cat this year and our two other dogs are 14 and 12 1/2 so who knows how long the Lord will bless us with them. We also have 6 indoor cats and 4 outdoor cats all at various ages. (all of our animals are fixed) I’m sure Abby enjoyed every minute with you and your family. I know how much a part of the family the furr-kids are. God bless you and strengthen you during this time of loss.

I am so sorry to hear about you losing your dog. We lost one of ours a little over a month ago and still feel the void. Just know she will be waiting for you at Rainbow Bridge where all dogs wait for their humans to join them. I have a whole family of dogs waiting there for me.

I’m so sorry Michelle. I’m sure it hurts tremendously. We just lost our darling little baby dog a month ago and I don’t think I have ever cried as hard as I did when I learned they could not save her. It broke my heart in a million pieces. I’m sure you feel the same way. You will remember her with great love and affection – the way it should be and she will know how much you loved her.

So very sorry. I know the pain of losing a pet. May your pain begin to lessen as you think of all the good times and funny antics Abby brought to your family.

I am deeply saddened by your loss of darling Abby. She was a beauty and I am sure, well loved (as you were in return). I just lost my beloved cat Charley 11 weeks ago; he was 18 years old and had first belonged to my late father. I still get misty when I think of him, and then I smile over how fortunate I was to have been loved so well.

    Take care, Michelle

I extend my heartfelt sympathies to you. Dogs are little furry angels that God has allowed to come into our lives for a season. I find comfort in knowing that the Bible talks about a bird in heaven as well as a horse. A 4 year old child named Colton Burpo described seeing heaven in great detail when he had surgery for appendicitis. His father, Todd Burpo wrote the story in a best seller book entitled “Heaven Is For Real.” He described seeing animals in heaven. I know my little 15 year old daschund named Danny is on borrowed time. I have told him to look up my other dogs if he goes before me, and not to mark his territory in our mansion up there…

He says “woof woof”, which means we are both thinking of you and praying that your heart will heal and you will be able to remember all the good times you had with your sweet girl. Blessings to you.

So sorry to hear your sad news. We had to put down our sweet Jack Russel terrier over a year ago and I am still heart broken. We still have Pepper, but he is starting to gray around the muzzle and I am so afraid he will be joining Bisquit soon. Pets are such a joy and are so trusting and loyal to us.

Abby was lucky to have you as you were her. I pray the pain of your loss turns into thoughts of the happy memories you will hold forever. I have lost my animal best friends/children in the past and the grief is overwhelming… Bless you for being a great mommy to her.

It is very hard to lose a trusted and beloved friend. We lost our Chopper one year ago in August to Lymphoma. It was devastating. we think of him daily – i still have his pictures around the house and I was showing off his puppy pictures this weekend! While they may not walk beside us any longer – they truly do leave footprints on our hearts.

May God comfort you during this time –

I want to “congradulate” you and your family for adopting this wonderful child, Abby and providing a warm and loving home for her. Anyone who has lost a precious member of their family can relate to your pain. We adopt them into our family as a child, love them, take care of them when they are sick and yes, we shower them with gifts. We, as parents and guardians, loose our ourselves in their love and devotion. These special “kids” give us so much unconditional love and pleasure. It is so hard to give them up and comperhand the void when they are gone. Abby will always be missed but never forgotten…we never forget our “kids”. My prayers and tears are with you and your family as I send my personal strength, love and hugs.
